Back with another #MadagascarMonday 🌍 In the spiny forest of Southern Madagascar, an eco-region where 90% of the plant life is endemic and only found in that part of the island, I had the pleasure of doing a week-long lemur study. During my time camping, I also saw many insects, reptiles, and of course lemurs. But, I was able to capture this amazing shot of a Bird of Prey landing on the top of this tall, spiny tree (Family: Didiereoideae). I still haven’t identified the bird, but it’s one of my favorite pictures from my travels! #Madagascar #Botany #Botanical #Biology #Ecology #Malagasy #Plants #Trees #Science #ScienceEducation #Education #Explore #Adventure #Travel #StudyAbroad #SITMadagascar #BirdsofPrey #BirdID #AllieandCoco #Monday #Flora #FloraofMadagascar #FaunaofMadagascar #Biodiversity #BiodiversityHotspot #SpinyForest https://www.instagram.com/p/BoISZjwg1yz/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1k561f98cit6p
