Noir attempts to show some kind of affection regardless of how difficult it may be for him and that is just,, so attractive ? When they huddle to talk about how Miles isn’t ready, he looks back at Miles and shrugs - and when they leave Miles in his room, he looks back and tips his hat at him. It’s like he wants to show Miles he understands but there isn’t enough time to do so? Or he doesn’t know how? So he gestures it instead. He clearly feels bad for the kid despite not representing it in the best way, but it’s very apparent he’s trying and that’s why it’s so endearing ;w;
