Still thinking about this. Robin being so slow and hesitant when it came to getting intimate with Nancy. Every memory she had with Karen was tainted by self-loathing and disgust. Rather than make her warm, they made her stomach churn. It ruined her so badly she began to question if she really liked girls, because every time she stopped to admire a woman's figure elicited only discomfort nowadays.

Maybe her brain drew some kind of sick association. Thinking of women reminded her of her. Maybe she'd come to hate herself more than ever for letting it happen.

Nancy changed it. Nancy, with her brilliant mind and gentle eyes and the tenderness with which she treated Robin unlocked the knot of shame in her stomach. She began to feel again. She felt things she'd never felt before, like the need to let Nancy hold her face, or the impulse to kiss her nibble at her cheeks. She felt impossibly warm and impossibly safe with her, like she'd never known trust before she knew Nancy. Like she'd never been safe before she slept in her arms for the first time.

But whenever their kisses get more agitated and hands begin to roam, Robin freezes. She can't stop thinking about Karen. She haunts her. She left a burning imprint on her brain and now it couldn't work right - memories flash before ber and arousal quickly turns into a cold, empty feeling in her stomach. Nancy didn't mind. She had lost her virginity in a less than ideal way, she understood, and she would never want to make Robin uncomfortable.

Learning Nancy was Karen's daughter only makes it worse, because now that she's seen it, she can't unsee it - Nancy's skin is the same texture as Karen's, and the touch sometimes feels familiar. The way Nancy's breath catches is familiar. Her taste, her smell, her eyes - it's paralizing, and Robin hates herself so much for seeing her like that.

She feels gross having been with both mother and daughter - like a pervert, a freak. What would Nancy think of her when she discovered her girlfriend had been once her mother's lover? God, what would she think when she learned her mother cheated on her father with her? What would she think of her knowing she let it happen? She would see Robin as dirty as she really was.

Had a nice walk around the block w/ the doggo. our new neighbors are getting a new roof put on their house (like...the shingles?). there’s not a cloud in the sky. the air is crisp and cool. light breeze. there are leaves all the fuck over. cronch. the small boy (doggo) gets scared by a halloween decoration of a giant inflatable spider that moves it’s head and front legs. he run. spoopy.

@tartabinger​​  /   He's spent the night drinking and singing like a fool - to the point of even singing and beatboxing the instruments of songs... he can't even beatbox but hey, he's trying.

"Zhongliiiiii," he begins, taking a short break to lean towards his friend and whine, "why won't you sing with me?" He suddenly starts chanting a bunch of "Hey"s as he claps his hands before breaking into a bunch of "ba-la-balalala"s, all with a smile on his face. Sure, he might be getting the verses mixed up, but he's having a blast.

And when he looks at Zhongli, it seems as though the light in his eyes is trying oh so desperately to return.

    OH, DEAR.  zhongli would be hard pressed to say he didn’t find the sight of the harbinger making such a fool of himself bemusing. if anything,  some part of him envies  childe’s ability to carelessly indulge in that which he enjoys  &  allow himself to become so carefree.  (  even if they were so inclined to partake in alcohol, they much prefer to keep a clear mind.  )  zhongli stifles a laugh, quiet.

    “ i believe you are making quite enough noise for the both of us, ”  he says. though zhongli doesn’t particularly mind, they are cognizant that others nearby who have work at early light may very well mind.  ‘ perhaps i should have stopped him ’  he considers, briefly. it is not that they wish to deprive tartaglia of momentary relief from what they imagine to be a difficult line of work, but out of moral obligation.

    their eyes glow with aged curiosity, head tilting slightly. perhaps it had just been his imagination, he considers;  knows well enough  the nature of the man before him,  and well enough that he is too old to not recognize a look such as that one. he falls silent for a moment, arm extending to rest against the seat adjacent to them.  “ speaking of which, it’s getting late. would you care for some tea ? ”

what do you think mickey was doing in mexico? i’d like to think he was happy and that he came back because he loved ian, and wanted to keep him safe, even if there was a chance ian didn’t want him back. but i feel like the show implies he was in a limbo state waiting for ian to call? like working for a cartel and in that deleted scene he doesn’t look like he’s having the best time? on the other hand, i’ve never cared about what canon thought and why should i start now. but yeah, do you think he was happy? or ... idk

hmm i think he was doing alright actually, in that he’s always known how to live his own life when ian wasn’t there. i mean he’s still running drugs on the street according to that clip, but he’s also established enough in the cartel to have information on them, and looking to other moments we know he made “friends” in prison with both damon and in s10, and we know that in s4 he established a working relationship with kev so like. i think he’s a resilient person, who’s able to live a life that involves non-ian things, even while obviously missing him. at the same time i think he missed the south side (evident from his tattoo), and obviously missed ian and was very happy to return to him, not just to keep him safe but also bc he loves him!!! but he’s a take-charge kind of guy, like we saw in s4, so i think he lived a life there that had value and wasn’t just waiting around
