The concept of Robin thinking she’s hard to love due to how her mother probably treated her (any time Robin mentions her, it’s something negative she’s said about Robin) and being gay in a small town in the 80’s

Vickie while loving Robin, didn’t love all of her. She couldn’t handle everything to do with The Upside Down and Robin couldn’t even explain everything she’s been through to Vickie even if she tried.

Nancy understanding and relating to all of Robin’s trauma and them both being the one person they can talk to about all that stuff.

Nancy being the one to show Robin she’s not hard to love. Other people just never put in the effort to love Robin fully.

Nancy and Robin both making each other feel like the most important and special people on the planet.
