So firstly I would like to send out a big welcome to some of my new followers and to my new STUDENTS! I love you all. Really.
The summary of what you learned tonight:
-Peckin' (Special bonus move!)
We are for the next four lessons (it's a five lesson series, including this one) going to be teaching six count, east coast, swing. Single steps. The next half of the semester (so second set of five lessons) will be the same thing with triple steps, we will also throw in different moves so it is still interesting to everyone who already took single steps and also easy for newcomers to jump right in.
We do not have a camera. We may or may not fix this. I am going to, however, find youtube videos and link them here:
Just up to 1:30, after that it's future things, Lesson 1
And there is no good video of Peckin' that I can find so I'm going to awkwardly describe it...I say awkward cause it will turn into a rambling thing, oh god it already has. So you're in closed position and you lead the beginning of a tuck turn, rock step, then on your first step you're going to lung and peck three (or more) times. To get out of it simply rock step and go back into your basic's. Follows, you can tell when to lung or rock step because of the pressure from his hand on your back. Remember, you are glued there unless otherwise stated!
I had an awesome time, I hope you guys did, see you all next week at the LATEST! I really really home you all turn up to The A Train on Friday, social dancing is the best way to improve and refresh your memory. www.toetappinswing.com will provide you with all that info.
