*I decided to make a banner that encompasses my current vibe. IYKYK*
Thank you so much for the tag @ao719!
I am actually currently working on two separate AU series. I have know idea if when they will drop, but here is a little teaser from each.
Baby I Would (Working Title)
“Riley? Are you in there?” Maxwell’s voice from the other end of the door finally got her attention.
“It’s open, Max.” She called.
Maxwell stepped into the room, Chance’s tail wagging faster as he got closer to the bed. He finally sat down beside Riley, scratching Chance behind the ears.
“Are you alright, Ri? You seem like you’ve had something on your mind today.”
“Oh, I’m fine Max,” she smiled kindly at her friend. “I guess I’m just a little burnt out is all. I already can’t wait for tonight to be over.”
It was taking everything in her not to tell Maxwell what was going on. She felt bad keeping such a big secret from her friend; but mostly, she just wished she had someone to talk to. Maxwell had been an incredible support system since day one. Everything that had happened was because of him, he was the one that convinced her to come to Cordonia.
“Hey,” Maxwell said gently, watching her expression change. He knew she was starting to drift off again. “Everything is going to work out. I feel it in my bones.”
Riley wrapped her arms around Maxwell and pulled him in for a hug. “Thanks, Max.” She took a deep breath, composing herself before pulling out of the embrace. “So I take it you’re here so we can go find something for me to wear tonight?”
Hands Down (Working Title)
Riley chuckled quietly to herself.
“Laughter isn’t quite the reaction I was hoping for after that.” Liam said, looking down at her.
“You said fuck.” She sing-songed. “I’ve never heard you swear before.”
“I suppose I got carried away in the moment. I’m sorry.”
“No, don’t apologize. It was hot.” She looked up at him with a smirk, he arched a brow in response. You’re so propper all the time, hearing that fancy accent say dirty words really did something to me.”
“Good to know.” Liam laughed, his lips quickly meeting hers.
It's late, and I think most of you have already been tagged, but whatcha got, gang? @txemrn @charlotteg234 @sincerelyella @burnsoslow @emkay512 @tessa-liam
This is from chapter 126 of Legend of Lightning, right before Vajra confronts the Emperor on Dromund Kaas
“It is so remarkable, that despite being powerful enough to crush the conspiracy by himself, he instead abandoned this seat in favor of one even more remote. It was not until he took that orbital fortress that he felt truly safe. He is afraid, Vajra. Afraid of death. So afraid, he’s convinced himself he’s its better. That by bringing death to enough people, he somehow grows too big for it himself. Even if he does complete his meaningless ritual, he is always doomed to failure someday.”
Thanks for the tag, @swtorpadawan

They pop in at The Three Broomsticks first. Harry makes fun of Draco for ordering, of all things, a peach and lime daiquiri. At noon. In a tiny tavern best known for serving non-alcoholic butterbeer to children.
“It’s dignified!”
“It’s September.”
“You couldn’t manage to dress yourself correctly this morning; I won’t hear a word from you about the seasonal appropriateness of my drink choices.” He snaps his fingers at the bartender. “Gerald, if you please.”
It’s been a while since I’ve done something like this, and I just felt like it today! I’m so behind in my own tags but I’ll be tagging @fw00shy @the-starryknight @shealwaysreads @americanmoths and @nv-md if they want to share some lines from their work! These are the last few lines of the intro of a lil something I’m playing around with.
“It’s my responsibility,” he said to me, “to see these things, to tell the public. But you don’t have to, Harry. The darkness doesn’t deserve your attention, ever again.”
Dark circles framed his eyes, pools of purple and blue, a bruised look. I was cross with him, had been having a bad day, snapped when he refused to go to bed after two nights spent at his desk, writing something he would hide whenever I tried to look. I should’ve known then, should’ve seen it, should’ve insisted. But I was cross. I was cross and I snapped and I went to bed without waiting for him. When he came into our room, hours later, I kept my back to the door. The next morning, I left for work without saying goodbye.
By the time I got home, the article was published and he was gone.
Thanks for the tag @isk4649. I will choose a random chapter from my Rick Flag (DCEU) WIP.
Rick watched the way Prim danced and chuckled. Bloodsport looked in the direction Rick was looking as well. “Shit!” He said, surprised. “Prim looks like an earthworm thrashing on the hot summer asphalt.” Both men laughed at his remark.
“She does, doesn’t she?” Rick agreed, chuckling softly.
“So,” Bloodsport took a sip from his drink. “What’s going on between the two of you?”
Rick’s face was unreadable. “I don’t know.” He scratched his forehead and drank the beer in his hand. “It’s complicated.”
“Uncomplicate it.” Bloodsport drank the rest of his drink. “Weren’t you who said we could be dead later tonight?”
Rick glanced at Prim in time to see her hit one of the patrons and apologize. He smiled with sadness in his features. “How’s your daughter, DuBois?” He changed the conversation, not willing to talk about the subject.
I’m tagging @kagetsukai, @shannaraisles, @loverhymeswith, and @alleiradayne.
Here’s the opening of the next chapter of TeOS (slightly more than six sentence, whoops).
~
Bethany woke up with one half of her incredibly warm and the other half unbearably cold. Her head was on Alistair’s chest—warm—though she had a brutal crick in her neck. She had curled herself as close to his body as she could, but the back of her was cold, so cold, except where his hand rested on her back—very, very warm. She was going to have to peel herself away from him to fix this. And “peeling” was the right word, because she realized she hadn’t changed into her night clothes and she had sweat through it all. She shucked everything off, too sleepy to even open her eyes, tossing the clothes away to rest wherever they lay, and crawled beneath the covers where she should have been in the first place. This was why, hours later when Alistair woke up, and after he had also decided to join her under the covers rather than on top of them, and after she had wiggled her way toward him again, and his arm had found its way around her, Alistair woke up with a naked woman pressed up against him.
"So, full disclosure, I've been sent out here to retrieve you."
"I figured." Logan flopped back onto the pool deck. "Lilly talk you into a foursome already?"
Chase burst into laughter. "No, she's a little busy consoling your very distraught wife. But not too busy for innuendo."
"She's never too busy for innuendo," Logan replied.
"She was trying to sell Veronica on being the creamy center of a Logan look-alike sandwich.”
“Oh my God. Of course she was." Logan flopped back against the pool deck, his empty hand covering his face. "I should have seen this coming as soon as I saw you. That’s been her plan from the moment she laid eyes on you.”
