Okay so comic idea that I've come to realize I'll probably never actually draw or fully write so I must yap
KH4 Inside Out world
Sora meets Joy who's trying to get back to headquarters and safely return what she calls “treasured memories”
The entire time Riley isn't mentioned by name but because it's Inside Out, because it's Joy, players are led to believe this is Riley's head
They end up in the dump, the treasured memories scatter. Sora collects them.
He picks up the first one and sees the memory it holds. He sees a boy that looks kind of like himself? As a kid? Calling himself the “best secret keeper in the world.”
Sora's confused. Why is HE in this memory?
He picks up another one
He sees himself on the other side of the door to darkness, hears Riku's voice say “take care of her” and sees himself nod before the door is shut.
Sora grabs another: sees himself sat at the dark margin saying “I've got something you could never imitate too.”
Grabs another: sees himself barrelling forward for a hug shouting “You’re safe, Riku!”
Takes one more: sees himself drop down from the sky, huge smile on his face as he looks up and says “I made it!”
There's one more. Sora picks it up, he sees himself as a kid again, tears on his face, holding the crown necklace in his hands, he hears Riku's voice calling it a good luck charm.
It hits him.
These aren't just any treasured memories
These are Riku's treasured memories
He looks at Joy
“If these are Riku's treasured memories… does that mean Joy is Riku's…?”
Sora wipes his tears away, determined to get the memories AND Joy back to headquarters
Braveheart being almost as big as Sora is absolutely sending me and the possibility that it could be roughly the same height as KH1 Sora... I need a minute to sit down...

“It's alright, Sora. You can let go.”
Riku's smile was sincere. But it felt wrong. This whole thing felt wrong.
“How can you say that?” Sora cried, tightening his grip further.
“The only way to get back is if one of us stays behind,” Riku reminded him, voice unnervingly calm despite everything.
Sora shook his head furiously. “There's got to be another way!”
Riku's eyes dipped to their joined hands, his smile falling just a touch. “I'll find another way,” he said. “I promise.”
“Then let me find it with you,” Sora insisted. He wasn't going to lose him. Couldn't afford to lose him. Not again. Not after everything.
But Riku slowly shook his head and Sora could feel him trying to pull his hand away again. “This is your chance to go home, Sora. Back to Destiny Islands. To Donald and Goofy. To Kairi.”
Their eyes met.
And the world lost focus, Riku suddenly looking incredibly blurry through the sting in Sora's eyes. A single tear fell across a freckled cheek. “But it's not home without you.”
Riku's breath hitched. Sora thought that maybe, finally, he was getting through to him. He could feel the pull on his heart growing stronger, as if whatever force was trying to take him back home was getting desperate. All Riku had to do was pull him forward, back over the threshold and they could find another way out. Together.
The hand holding his own tightened a fraction and Riku's expression held a mixture of sorrow and fierce determination. It was enough to take Sora's breath away.
“I promise I'll find you.”
Blue eyes widened and before Sora could even react…
