Harry Potter who has never had a family meets a guy at a science fair where he’s presenting a machine he invented to view past memories and find out who his mom is and together they go into the future to find the other time machine that his roommate, tom, at the orphanage (now all grown up) bc he stole it so he can make a winning catch at a softball game in the past which he concludes is the source of all of his problems. The boy without a family meets the other’s boy’s entire family which...

is massive and eccentric and lovable and really rich and his inventor spirit flourishes, surrounded by familial support. the mom trained frogs quidditch,the grandma dances and knits, the grandpa is lovable and helpful and loses his teeth all the time, and there are cousins and uncles and aunts and he wants to stay with them but it turns out he’s the boy’s dad and has to save this future so he’ll get to live it, by destroying a bowler hat he invents as part of that future....theres also a p anxious robot butler, D.O.B.B.Y. the roommate becomes the weird friend. he never finds out who his mom is bc he decides he doesnt need to know and e can move on from the past and keep moving forward,
