Shortly before the end of season 4, the Blaseball game servers experienced a significant loss of data that forced the Umpires to roll back the state of the game world by approximately eight hours. The events that occurred within the lost timeframe were manually reconstructed to bring the game back to its most recent date, which was Season 4 Day 88. Waves broke over the league, resulting in serious coinage for the fans and leaving Sixpack Dogwalker confused.

This series of events is known as the Waveback Event.

With the results of yesterfriday's polls in, fans can see a similar phenomenon in the cases of two hotly contested matches — little-known early incin Fitzgerald Massey vs. long-time Fridays defensive favorite Spears Taylor, and Hall Star Sebastian Sunshine vs. Coronation era batter in the second spot Silvaire Semiquaver! In BOTH contests, the winners — Spears Taylor and Sebastian Sunshine — only won by a single vote, narrowly squeaking by into Round 3. Catch them against Evelton McBlase II and Sixpack Dogwalker respectively on April 13!

Don't mind me, just thinking about Thomas England and how they were essentially erased from existence save for a unique bat, a pre-game ritual ("Talking to The Microphone"), and Sixpack Dogwalker's stats.

Of these, the pre-game ritual was changed to "Have Hope" and Bangers and Smash is long gone. Only Sixpack Dogwalker remains.

Meanwhile, according to Inside a Blaseball, Alternating a player with the Receiver mod would result in a Staticed player returning in exchange.

Bringing back a player from the Static requires erasing the last evidence of Thomas England's existence.
