hey so I just relistened to 'Blood Upon the Snow' by Hozier & Bear McCreary and the lyrics are like an ode to the pain of Trigun, its characters and the entire damn planet, and im losing my MIND. I needed to tell someone and see if it's just me being too deep in trigun brainrot; and if not, I wanted to spread the suffering, as one does in this fandom (affectionate)
so I've had this thought before about how—while trigun is rooted in its desert/sci fi/space western aesthetic—it would work just as well in a snowy, windswept, cold landscape. extremes of temperature, lack of resources, a dry place (water frozen, or no water at all; same thing). it makes my vibrate out of my SKIN for real
like this is SO triguncore... I've heard this song before and didn't make the connection and i love that you brought it to my notice bc holy fucking shit
“this world takes more strength than it gave me” is such a Vash line but he would never apply it to himself, you know what i mean. like he would never admit it even if everyone can see it
i also see what you mean about it being about the pain of all the characters, especially each episode's minor characters who are all just shitty, ordinary, kind people trying to survive a horrible world. aaaaaa
in return i offer you “we will commit wolf murder” by of montreal, an incredibly Vash & Nai song
