W^2 - ducky
W^2 or W squared for Wordless Wednesday, August 30, 2023 It is Wednesday and I am feeling ducky. I am five days into my twenty-fifth year of teaching and feeling like a duck on dry land, or perhaps skewered on a car antenna. Rubber duckies on a car antenna, Naperville, IL, August 19, 2023 10:30 AM I spied these rubber duckies on a car antennae a couple of Saturday’s ago while volunteering at…

Wendy: Give my friend his stuff back. Sixth Grader:i: I don't know what you're talking about. Wendy: Well then good news. Today's the day a girl's finally going to touch you in your little special place. *Kicks him in the groin*

Sometimes I don't hate sixth graders
Seriously, today during drama club, we were performing some scenes using either, first line last line, or three things that had to be in the scene. And these sixth graders go up and tell us the drama teacher approved of it so we’re all thinking, okay this is going to be weird. And in the scene one of the first things the boy says is “Since this is speed dating, I’m gonna be honest. I used to be a girl.” And the whole roOM JUST ERUPTED LIKE WHAT. THESE SIXTH GRADERS WERE JUST HAVING THAT IN THEIR SCENE LIKE NOBODIES BIDNESS CAUSE NORMALLY SCHOOLS LOSE IT OVER STUFF LIKE THAT AND EVERYTIME HE TOLD THE SPEED DATING PARTNER, THEY GOT UP AND LEFT AND WHEN ANOTHER BOY SAT DOWN HE JUST GOES “wow you’re cute.” LIKE FOR REAL. IT WAS AWESOME AND I HIGH FIVED HIM AFTER WORDS. THEY HAVE MADE ME NOT HATE ALL SIXTH GRADERS CAUSE THEY HAD REAL STUFF SO AMEN TO THEM
