my response to @sizhens-reborn I FUCKING HATE YOU PEOPLE

this art piece is about the process of consuming art. It seeks to engage with the prompting non-art work in the most complete and extensive method possible, while remaining within the format of the original work. I ask: what is as much effort as possible? How can you commit to interpretation and engagement while maintaining a unique artistic perspective? Am I the people you FUCKING HATE? Am I a person? Am I? In this work I establish and tear down the many identities and ideas i've had. In this work I become a new person again and again. In this artpeice I fill out an educational form, despite just graduating high school and not having to do that anymore. I don't know if sizhens is going to see this, but if you do: i would very much like to be able to give this physical artwork to you, to complete my own artpeice to the fullest extent. I understand revealing your address to a random artist probably raises concerns about doxxing, and am willing to work through proxies ect. Best of luck with your art, and your revolution.

I think im actually anti-Artist atp. reading sizhens most recent posts and she really speaks to some uneasy feelings ive been having about Art/Artists. im not good at forming my thoughts in to writing but i have a lot of feelings about this. death to Artists, everything is art!!

I FUCKING HATE YOU PEOPLE is an interactive multimedia art experience by Sizhen System, an alias of NYT-acknowledged and Academy of American Poets-published poet Nora Hikari. It features a series of AI-generated images of fictional White female US American military soldiers, drawn in an "anime" style, in various levels of eroticism and pornography. The images contain various computer-generated hallucinations of what the image model conceptualizes as "American iconography." A critical element of the images are the ways that the machine corrupts these actual images -- flags, in particular, as well as the distortions which arise in anatomy, increasing over the course of the image series. Following the series of images is a piece of creative nonfiction writing in the form of a six-page interactive "worksheet", styled as a classroom worksheet for a hypothetical course in "Johnny Jackass’s Introduction to Non-Terminal Thought" and titled "Sizhen System's Curricular Torsion 6: WHO'S AFRAID OF THE CRITICAL THINKING SECTION?" In addition, there is a public Google form which allows participants to submit their answers to the worksheet directly to the artist. Artist statement: "I made I FUCKING HATE YOU PEOPLE because I fucking hate you people. Your reactionary sentimentalities cause you to refuse to reckon with anything that could possibly expand your consciousness unless you are literally bludgeoned over the head with it. This piece is Not Art. There is No Art contained within this piece. This device is a weapon designed to hurt the reader/viewer. Any and all art which comes from this piece, or is produced by this piece, is purely incidental, and not the political responsibility of the artist, who did not make a piece of art."

Wildly disappointing post to see from a blogger whose art and writing I really really admired. Also she has "F-SA gender" in her bio which isn't exactly easier to parse... I mean I know what it means because I read her essay on it but like how are you gonna be criticizing people for having "confusing" descriptions of their gender be for real.

Also assuming that someone's pronouns are like. Performative? Or for the aesthetic? Is really really weird?

Actually tbqh I'm having trouble understanding what exactly is being mocked here. Are we just mask-off transmedicalists now? Are neopronouns cringe again? Are they somehow uniquely transmasc? I know transfems who use? Neopronouns? What?

You shouldn't be admiring Sizhens anyway on the basis that she's a genocide cheerleading freak but yeah this is pretty obviously just naked bigotry.
