Old sketchbook from late 2016

This is my 21st sketchbook (of this size). I started early in my 1st semester of my final year of art college, and unlike most of my previous sketchbook covers, I didn’t give it much thought. I had my hands full with school projects, and I was on a big rainbow kick for some reason. So I decided I’d just paint on a rainbow.

It turned out to be way harder than I thought, because... y’know... painting on solid colours and straight lines and numbers is hard.

But this was the moment I went from filling 1 sketchbook every 9 months to a year... to burning through one of these moleskines every 5-6 weeks.

And oh god did I love it!

If you love rainbows, or moleskines, or painted sketchbooks, you’ll want to tune in now and again, because I went rainbow happy on the next 4 sketchbooks, and they’re going to get uploaded in the coming month(s).
