Do you know where I can get the subtitles for the video in which Henrik, Carl, Julie, David and Ulrikke talk about Skam script at the National library and play the “so you think you can Skam” game? Thanks in advance.

i feel like there must've been people livetweeting it, probably in english, but i would have to do some searching because i lost a lot of the earlier skam fans who were posting about that.

SKAM SCRIPTS | FRIDAY, MAY 27TH, 2016 4:55PM | 2x11 Clip “Friday at 5 o’clock”

This excerpt is a direct Norwegian to English translation, by me, from the SKAM script books by Julie Andem. I am going to translate this as directly as possible so as not to change any of the original meanings, while keeping the English completely readable.

I’m skipping from 18:24 to 22:20 of the episode since it’s basically the same on the page. I do want to note that all of William’s looking over his shoulder is scripted. 

NOORA: Yes. You are in love with me. That’s why you’re so cold. 

WILLIAM tired: No, I’m cold because that’s the way I am. 

NOORA studies him for a moment. He will not be softened by the fact that she is soft. She must win him over. She changes tactics. 

NOORA: I've always wondered how you who are so smart and yet somehow defend your asshole behavior to for yourself. But you just tell yourself that that is how you are? 

WILLIAM rolls his eyes. 

NOORA: Are you like this because your mom is a c*nt, then? Or because you had a tragic childhood? Is that what you tell yourself? That it’s such a shame you can't do anything about your behavior? Or were you born that way? 

WILLIAM looks surprised at NOORA. 

NOORA: Anyways that’s not true. There are people out there who go through fucked up things every single day, and still manage to be pleasant to each other. Being an asshole isn’t something you are born, or something you become. It’s a choice.   

WILLIAM doesn’t like what NOORA is saying. Where all of this is going. 

NOORA: And it’s all a choice to let Nico fuck up everything between us. 

WILLIAM looks irritated at NOORA. 

NOORA: What exactly is your plan? That you’ll just walk around London being an asshole and feeling sorry for yourself because you brother is so mean, and your girlfriend lied to you? Never daring to let people in again because you could be hurt? 

WILLIAM thinks this conversation is tiring. She is right. 

NOORA continues:  Believe me, you don't want that, it’s fucking lonely. 

WILLIAM is cracking. NOORA decides to go for the final blow. She goes right up to him. So their faces are really close. WILLIAM doesn’t withdraw, but he avoids her gaze. 

NOORA brokenly*: Because people need people. And I love you. And you love me. And we have to be together. 

WILLIAM softens. 

NOORA: Say we have to be together. 

WILLIAM looks down. NOORA lays her hand on his cheek and tries to life his gaze. WILLIAM looks her in the eyes. 

NOORA: Say it. 

WILLIAM studies NOORA. 

WILLIAM: I have to go. 

NOORA looks fearfully at WILLIAM. WILLIAM looks defiantly back and so he goes. He sits himself in the car without looking back, and drives off. NOORA stand schooled again in a wide shot. She almost can't breathe. Maybe she even squats down. She picks up her phone and calls EVA. EVA answers. NOORA begins to walk slowly back towards where she lives while she frantically tells that she was just dumped by WILLIAM. That he left her. Tonight Tonight by Passion Pit starts up. NOORA asks she can go to EVA, that she doesn’t want to be alone. EVA says of course she can. Behind NOORA CHRIS’s Carr rolls back into frame. And he gets out and walks towards her behind her back without her seeing, while NOORA is still talking to EVA. WILLIAM reaches her and she turns toward him. There is a properly lovely reunion. Without exaggerating.

I’m hardcore trying to become fluent in Norwegian because I’m thinking of going to work/study in Norway next year (or within the next several, whenever financially feasible) and I learn especially well with things I’m super interested in (because ADHD) and I really want to buy, like, all 4 of the Norwegian Skam scripts as a study tool but it’s going to cost me some major $$$$ because I live in the US

So what I’m saying is I need y’all to encourage me and tell me what a great idea that is and how worth the money it will be talk me out of this 😇😂

in the original script as sonja tell isak about even’s bipolar she was supposed to say “you’ve only made him worse. ever since he met you he has only gone downhill” and i just keep thinking about the guilt isak would have felt if they had decided to keep that in. it breaks my heart.
