this came to me in a vision, i just had to make a skaterboi!dean

y2k!cas working at his local skate shop, dancing singing to 311's beautiful disaster as he sweeps up shortly before closing

he's turned it up so loud he doesn't hear the bell jingle over the door, and so the newcomer gets quite an eyeful before cas realizes he's got company and nearly sh*ts his pants

the guy just smiles, grins really, and goes about his shopping. they close in 15 minutes, and though the guy doesn't seem like he knows where everything is, he definitely knows what he's looking for

cas watches from behind the counter; tracks the head of shaggy dirty blonde hair under a trucker hat with the bill slightly flipped until he's forced to face the guy head on

he's tan, freckled to all get out, and has a silver ring in his nostril

he smiles at cas again

makes him drop the grip tape in his hand

then smiles wider

before he turns to leave, he pauses like he's thinking something over in his head, then decides fuck it as he leans forward to plant his elbows on the counter

"can i get your number?" he asks, and, f*ck yeah he can

cas writes it on the back of the receipt with numb fingers, along with his name, and the warning to call after 10 so he'll be home to get it before his little sister can pick up

"baby siblings, huh?" the guy muses, and cas can only nod. blush and tuck his hair behind his ear

the guy leaves, and only then cas realizes he never got his name. hopefully he'll call

k, but like.. typical angry at the world early twenty-something cas who works at a skate park and gets so tired of the wannabes’ he has to deal with day in and day out

because he is good- like, has won a ton of local competitions and could probably even get sponsored if he actually tried good

but, he’s got kind of a shit attitude, as well as a slightly infuriating superiority complex that deters most people from wanting to work with him ..cause on top of being fucking wickedly talented on the ramps, he’s super gorgeous too

and he knows this

he knows this and he lets it dictate most of his interactions, until of course one day when he’s out flipping tricks and wowing the crowd only to be stunned into complete immobile silence when a guy he’s never even seen before tips his way into cas’ path, cutting him off, then proceeds to not only show him up, but throw total disregard to his skills and looks

cas stands balking in the middle of the bowl with his board forgotten at his feet while this guy with dirty blonde hair, clad in a backwards cap, faded tshirt and ripped jeans circles around him

the onlookers go insane- whooping and hollering and it isnt til the very second this mystery dude stops directly in front of him that cas for the first time in his life feels as if he’s been thoroughly.. rightfully put in his place

bright, green eyes give way to sun-kissed, crinkled skin and lashes so long cas has the urge to touch

green eyes extends his hand with a crooked smile, knocking cas’ knees right out from under him

'dean’

cas stares, heart thumping and throat constricting something fierce as he accepts the offered hand

'.. cas’

dean’s smile widens, “you guys hiring?”
