skekCel and skekScy, father and son. I'm working on a new inking brush and these bois were my experiments. Plus I wanted to just draw them and their differences.
Scy, due to having non-noodle genes, is much more robust than Cel. He also is not single colour like Cel, but has markings. Even his eyes are much more vibrant than Cel's.
Arttrades for @juliejewel24 and @reikiajakoiranruohoja ! First one’s complex lineart, and the second one’s color! SkekTek gave me SO much trouble. But it was worth it in the end. His clothes are the main reason you don’t see me draw him too much. The ocs in order are SkekGrim, UrClay, and SkekScy.
SkekGrim belongs to JulieJewel24 and UrClay and SkekScy belong to Reikiajakoiranruohoja.
Despite the often chaotic times with his children, their sleeping faces made it all worth it for skekSil. Yes, their sire was sparsely found, their uncle disliked them and Scythe had a bad habit of stealing things. But they were his, truly his.
And he would not let his dear children fall down the same path he did.

Fan-kids between Sil and my OC Cel. SkekScy the Far-Walker and urLoy the Valet.
More details under the cut.
Name: Claymore "UrClay" the Valet of Castle of Crystal
Species: Urru (Thra-born)
Alliance: Lords of the Crystal
Family: SkekSil (father), skekCel (mother), skekScy (twin brother), skekStri&skekShuc (half-brothers), skekSo (maternal uncle), urLoy (maternal uncle), urSol (paternal uncle), skekUng (step-father.)
Personality: Most know the mystics of Thra as either vicious bandits or isolated monastics. Either way, these creatures rarely if ever take part in the wider society and its mores. They are close to the earth and the nature of Thra.
UrClay is none of these things.
Raised in the Castle and among skeksis, Clay knows the life of a lord more than the life of a mystic. In fact, he intentionally does not refer to himself as a mystic, but as an urru. Like any lord, Clay is prideful and haughty. In fact, he is far haughtier than most of the skeksis and the few urru who live at the Castle. Taught by his father to always look and act his best, Clay is a subdued creature. Rarely raising his voice above a speaking tone, he can still pack quite a few insults in his words.
Dressed in expensive silks and obsessively groomed, most think urClay is just a weird-looking skeksis rather than an urru. UrClay is quite happy with the mix-up, especially as he finds most urru filthy and uncouth.
Despite his awful attitude, UrClay deeply loves his family. He secretly supports his father's rise to the seat of the Emperor, as he knows he would never fill that spot. He loves his twin brother, skekScy, though he thinks the Far-Walker is too wild for a skeksis. With his mother, he gets along fine. Though their differences confuse him.
While urClay is a royalist, he isn't blind to the fact that the Empire is changing. Though he lives in the Castle and doesn't leave it often, he has quite a few strings he will pull to mould the change to the image he and his father wish Thra to become. Clay is not power-hungry, but he knows if his father earns a better position, he too will be treated with more respect.
Name: Scythe "skekScy" the Far-Walker of Har'rar.
Species: Skeksis (Thra-born)
Alliance: Lords of the Crystal
Family: SkekSil (father), skekCel (mother), urClay (twin brother), skekStri&skekShuc (half-brothers), skekSo (maternal uncle), urLoy (maternal uncle), urSol (paternal uncle), skekUng (step-father.)
Personality: As soon as Scy could walk, he was exploring the castle. Climbing and running away on caravans came soon after. The young skeksis was always moving, always trying to see something new.
With this wandering, Scy learned very quickly to move about in the cities of the Seven Clans with respect and subtly. Though his trines of pretending to be a cute pet are gone, the skeksis is still surprisingly stealthy. Preferring to live in the slums and buildings left to disrepair, skekScy sees himself as the guardian of those the changing times have chewed and spat out. As such, Scy is very egalitarian and doesn't mind his pelt or clothes getting dirty.
Though most Lords would see him 'lowering himself' among the masses as a lack of moral fibre, it has more to do with Scy's innate curiosity. Like his father, he is always planning and thinking. It just manifests in the pale purple skeksis seeking lost lore and people to -know.- Like his mother, Scy feels stifled in the castle and prefers open spaces.
He is forever amused that his twin, urClay, does not share this love of the world. Scy has long since made skekSil accept that one of his children will never be court-approved. SkekUng finds his step-son a point of pride, for few dares to go where Scy often dwells.
SkekScy's life in the city and especially in the slums has made him a rather crude skeksis. He rarely minces his words or bothers with niceties. But he is still loyal to skekSo and the Empire, just that his role is to ensure all of the Empire moves forward, not just those with money and status.
