Today in lab I looked up and my classmate was waving at me with an articulated hand and I almost lost all of my shit.

The first time I saw the hands in lab, I was stoked. I love hands. I love to draw them and to look at their shapes, I love to see peoples' hands and the way they gesture. They are wonderful. When they're articulated with thread and you hold them by the proximal end of the carpals, the metacarpals and phalanges hang like jewelry.

But then you have to name all the little em-effers and be able to side them and you're like, these little nubbins of bones suck, and you want to leave them in the tray all flipping the middle finger, but you can't, cause that's inappropriate.
