Enormous coyote I finished for a client, this is the huge red one I'm making a rug out of (client just wanted the skull). He was bigger than a german shepherd and as red as my hair so I think he might have something other than coyote mixed in. Hes got some worn teeths though.
!!!Death warning!!! I went sq.uirrel hunting today with some family, I got two of them (I was going to show a pic of all of them together but one was pretty gnarly so I decided to exclude it) I have some feet I would like to preserve, I heard about salt preserving but I'm not sure how to do that. Do you just keep the whole foot in the salt for a few days? Or do you need to take the bones and flesh out? I'm not sure. I am also going to try to Articulate a skeleton, and need information on how to take all the flesh off of the bones and get the brain out of the head. I'm going to take as much meat off the body as I can -were going to eat them- I really wanted to tan the hides but sadly we didn't have the time to skin them correctly for that. Hopefully it will be of good use to some critters.

Cleaned 5 out of 11 rot pots, I've still got some full skelleys forming but I've cut down on the stank at least. One of my chickens ate a coyote toe (judas!) And the color of this raccoon came out awsome so I may leave it like this. Anyone have a great way to get rid of grave wax? One of the coyotes and a deer skull are kinda chunky.

I finally dug up my opossum! Tomorrow i have to go get glue. If anyones articulated a opossum before and wants to send me ref pics (especially feet and ankles) id really appreciate it. After that its seven cats a mink and a large calf for articulations. The cats are about done,the cow has a leg done,and all ive done with the mink is take off the big bits of meat. If anyone has cleaned a preserved animals skelleton before,how did you do it? Will the bugs like it if i bury it? Or should i put it in water?
