skerrts mommy issues(lusus issues???) mean the world to me actually. hes sickeningly emotionally immature but it is not his fault at all because he can't understand anything his mom says(meaning he. literally was not raised by her. when he was Very young she would've protected him, but all of the actual raising would've gone to the most likely racist(hemoist??? hemospectrumist????) and awful influences that the other seadwellers around him would've been, given he wouldn't be around them often either) hes also so trans coded what do you mean you dont go by your actual name but instead two aliases that are nothing like it but instead revolve around who you are a person. he wishes rappers were real(actual line from his introduction). skerrt i fucking love you. him compared to egoize(guy who feeds his eldritch horror mom he's terrified of) has me tearing my hair out. egoize is tired as shit and messy but he actually understands whats going on because he has some form of positive influence in his life through his friends and his lusus. skerrt can't understand anything his mom says(and purposefully uses things to tune it out), and his closest connections to the outside world are egoize and cladem(both are people who, rightfully, aren't very close to him.) his understanding of the world outside is violently skewed because he wasn't raised or connected to anyone who could genuinely correct it. he's not a racist(hemo??ist?????) seadweller who hates lowbloods because it's honestly doubtful he was even raised to understand the world outside of where he is. his understanding of cladem(limeblood who would be culled by Anyone else of his ranking) as ''one of the best artists''(girl who draws sometimes) is genuinely so childish because he wasn't taught about history or anything besides the fact hes a prince because he didn't have anyone to do it. turning back to the wishing rappers were real joke its because he's so alienated from his society by the fact he's the heir to the throne and had nobody to raise him. going into deep analysis of the funny cryptocurrency fish is one of my hobbies im insane about him

Homestuck/crossmound fans scare the shit out of me. this drives me insaneeee tho this is so awesome. emotionally immature characters are my favourite characters. doomed, not by the narrative, but by the failures of those around them.
