You may not believe me, but this is Ash before he isolated himself

He does not have natural black hair, his hair is actually a more golden color similar to his dad. Its just that after his mom died and then a year later his older brother died he ended up isolating himself from everyone in the circus.

This then caused him to lose his color and grow out his hair more, becoming depressed. Its similar to how Laughing Jack loses his color, except Ash chose to be alone and so destroyed himself in the process.

For context, in my universe Laughing Jack is a part of a certain species of clowns that are mostly classified as Guardians. They spread happiness and joy to all and run on that happiness and joy that they give to the world, but if they lose that happiness and joy they end up losing their color, who they are, and what their purpose and role is.

Some even become classified as Entities as they become more aggressive in this state and become someone who harms instead of spreads happiness (Ex: Laughing Jack & Alfie)
