assemble project - sketchbook making
On tuesday in the publication room, we started off doing book binding. Sewing together these sketchbooks using thick sheets of paper and a thicker cover. Sewn together with linen thread, I was surprised by how easy they were to put together. Finally we used the nipping press to press the paper so they sketchbooks would be flush.
An easy example of assemblage that I might use as a sketchbook for this project.

Kwkwje I cant wait to use it. Not only because i feel proud of the result of the sketchbool but also because i used watercolor paper and I LOVE WATERCOLOR. (i just dont really post them because im used to posting digital art). But w h o o the work and time was worth it.
Starting on Spidey! And trying to figure out more shadows. This is the first project I've done with dynamic lighting, so I'm kind of guessing at things. X/
i made a hardcover bound book with my scrap animation paper! it's a cute little sketchbook that will fit perfectly into my tiny purses.
i usually hate doing crafts but i really enjoy paper mache for some reason. something about smothering paste all over newspaper scraps just makes me happy....
