It’s amazing how calming a bowl of stones is. Its a little place of peace in my day. I promised Autumn from @sketchbookcoshop I’d show her the painted cover of the vintage sketchbook she made me. I carry it everywhere. I never thought I’d EVER be wooed away from Moleskine, but this one wins. To the right is an encaustic panel with the graphite undersketching of a new oil painting I’m working on. I filled up my grief journal today I began back in February to deal with my loss and emotions after our miscarriage. I haven’t finished a journal concerning anything in a while, so it felt like a small victory to me. 🌙 But finishing it also made me realize that I think I need to step away from the internet again for a bit. I need to recenter myself and get out of a set-imposed rut. I have the world before me, but I need to remove things distracting me from it. 🌙 I don’t know how long I’ll be gone this time- but I will leave my dms, open as well as email and texting (for those that have my number). I’m going to try and not look at my phone for much other than the time or msgs from my husband for the next couple days, so if I don’t respond right away...please bear with me. I’ll be around. 💜 . .
