Skewered By Phatchick Is Open To The Public
Skewered is serving delicious Pan-Asian dishes that’ll leave you breathless and wanting for more. Check out what they can offer you here.
In case you want to experience something new then visit Skewered. They’re located in Expansion Wing, Water Garden, Festival Supermall, Filinvest City, Alabang Muntinlupa. It was quite difficult to find the establishment but they’re beside Gerry’s Grill.
Upon entering, you’ll be enchanted by their interiors. The place would make you feel as if you traveled all the way to the Carribean Islands. Everything was well-thought of. I love the fact that every bit of this place has art; it shows the owners’ creativity.
In this side of the restaurant, you’ll get to see the journey of how spices made their way to the Pacific. Honestly, it gave me Moana vibes. Haha.
I highly recommend the couch seats since they’re comfortable and it was well-lit. It is the perfect spot to capture Instagram-worthy photos. There are electric sockets as well but I’m not sure whether you can use them or not. :)
All tables have a built-in metal socket. This is where the waiters would insert the hanging meats.
The chef has personally explained each meal and concept. Kudos to the management!
Japanese Miso Soup - P89
I’m not a fan of miso soup but this one is to die for. The bitterness of the usual miso soup is gone and has been replaced by a savory miso-esque broth. I love that it has a hanging skewered quail eggnoki mushroom tempura.
Viet Nam Chicken Soup - P89
I could sip this all day long. This is the perfect companion if you want your rice to drown in soup. It also has a hanging skewered bean sprouts. Super healthy!
Asian Slaw - P188
All the veggies are guaranteed to be fresh because there’s that crunch in every bite. Their dressing, citrus-sesame soy, is different as compared to the usual salad dressings.
Fresh Vietnamese Spring Rolls - P279
Sauces include hoisin, nuoc cham and hot sauce. The establishment also offers a fried version of this.
Crispy Chicken Tenders - P288
Served with salted egg sauce, hot sauce, and minced fresh garlic. Honestly, I’m not a fan of their salted egg sauce because I don’t like salted eggs and there was this weird after-taste. I preferred the garlic sauce. True to its name, the chicken was crispy when served. It was well-seasoned to the point you can eat it on its own.
Pork and Cabbage Fried Rice - P75
If you prefer your fried rice with minimal toppings, go for this one.
Phatchick’s Fried Rice - P75
If you prefer your fried rice with loads of toppings, then give this one a try.
Skewers
Left to Right: Japanese Pork Belly (P99), Sweet Sexy Pork X (P79), Mongolian Chicken (P79), Szechuan Chicken (79)
Skewered PH takes pride that they’re the first hanging skewered restaurant in the world. Their concept is truly unique and it’s a must for everyone to experience it.
Japanese Pork Belly is my favorite. Their meat is highly juicy and succulent. The fatty pork just melts in my mouth. It’s so soft that it needs a calamansi at the end so that it wouldn’t fall from its metal stick.
Their skewers are delicious but it’s quite pricey. Hope the management could offer discounts if the customers buy more skewers since it would be great if a lot could try what Skewered is offering.
Bacon-wrapped Leeks - P99
Bacon wrapped in anything is an awesome idea. I love how the leeks boosted the meal’s texture since it gave the dish a bit of crunch.
Torched Salpicao - P349
When you’re dining here, don’t forget to order this dish. They’ll torch the meat in front of you. You’ll get to see the sauce pouring from the first layer to the last.
The meat was perfectly cooked. The butter and garlic were used to marinate the beef. Since the serving is limited, this dish is good for one.
Pad Thai - P329
Unfortunately, when I travelled to Thailand back then, I didn’t get to try an authentic Pad Thai so I wouldn’t be able to certify whether the taste of Skewered’s Pad Thai is authentic. Management said theirs is unique since their noodles are wrapped in egg omelette and it’s different from the usual Pad Thai. I absolutely love how the flavors blended well.
Banana Malay Roti - P249
I just died and went straight to dessert heaven. I’m a sucker for unique desserts and the Banana Malay Roti is divine. The coconut cream sauce is mildly sweet and every bite was an utter joyful experience.
Tiki Punch - P299
Made with dark rum, light rum, fresh orange juice, fresh calamansi juice and pineapple. Don’t worry you won’t feel a buzz at all.
House-blended Lemongrass & Pandan Infused Iced Tea - P75
This drink is the ultimate summer drink because it’s refreshing and addictive. It’s guaranteed to quench your thirst. If I have the opportunity to write “Unique Iced Teas In Metro Manila”, this will definitely be part of the list. You can also order a pitcher version of this.
Iced Thai Milk Tea - P119
I’m obsessed with Thai Milk Tea. Skewered’s version is authentic as it gets. I love the sweetness level plus it’s placed in a tiki cup soooo points for being extra, yes?
