Visiting Ski museum was one of my favorite and most impressive experiences in Oslo. You can’t miss your chance to visit it!
The most interesting thing about this place is that Ski museum is founded inside of the ski jump, so it definitely has a very unique setting. Moreover, there is a fantastic viewpoint on top of a ski jump. Breath-taking panorama of Oslo makes this place unforgettable and even though this museum is located far from the city center – it is definitely worth your time to visit it.
It was hard to leave this place, because I felt that I can’t get enough of the beauty. Nature surrounding the tower was simply stunning and calmness of an early morning filled this moment with harmony and charm. :)
Talking about an exhibition of the museum, it is small which is good because you can get faster to the main destination of your visit – a fantastic viewpoint on top of the tower. An exhibition of museum presents 4000 years history of skiing and as you can easily guess museum is filled with lots of skies, snowboards and etc. To be honest I wasn’t very interested in it and it didn’t left me amazed.

Even though a trip from Oslo city center to Holmenkollen Ski Museum took us about 50 minutes by train, a journey was a pleasure because of a very nice views through the window.

Moreover, on the way to the Ski museum you can visit the Eternal peace flame -a symbol and hope for peace, and next to it there is a statue of inspiring spiritual leader Sri Chinmoy. :)
