Mount Collection - Yakez

Ever since I figured out the rainbow griffon, I’ve been trying to make all of Yakez’s mounts rainbow as well. These are still mostly works in progress as I keep on finding better skins and dyes to use, but I’m happy enough to post what I have right now.

Easily my two favourite mounts in the expansion, the Jackal and the Skimmer. I’m very grateful that mounts (except one!) aren’t tied to story progression in this expansion, allowing me to run around and gather them all without needing to further the story whatsoever.

Which I did.

Because I love mounts.

Get the mount skins for gold?

So I did some math for anyone who can’t or does not want to spend real money on mount skins.

Disclaimer: This uses the conversion rate available as I was doing the numbers, it does fluctuate constantly and converting large amount of gold to gems will also affect the rate so all these numbers are just estimates.

So here is the chart:

400 Gems= 125 Gold

2,000 Gems= 625 gold

3,750 gold = 12,000 gems= All 30 mounts paying for each individually 

3,184 gold= 10,200 gems= all 30 mounts paying in batches of 10 contracts 

3,002 gold= 9,600 gems= this week only unlocks all 30

So, right now it would cost roughly 3,002 gold to get enough gems to buy the 30 pack. Even if you bought them individually because you only want 1 or 2 of them you chances will only get higher per contract used. its only 124 gold per contract, say you have the worst luck ever, and you want one skin and you go the highest cost route and buy one contract at a time the max gold it would cost you at current rates is 3,750 gold, and that’s if you buy all 30 contacts one by one and get the one mount you want last.

Lastly I want to say the upside to doing it this way is that they will not end up costing you any real world currency. The downside is that not everyone in game makes tons and tons of gold, and buying them this way if you want all 30 will take a lot of time and effort. What you gain in cost you lose in time. I just wanted to show everyone that it is possible to not have to spend $100+ dollars to get sparkly mount skins cause I feel like the conversion feature can be forgotten and underappreciated sometimes.

Mount Collection - Araga Chaosbringer

Halloween dyed mounts that aren’t just for the season. This is a character I created during Halloween, leveled her to 80 solely in the Labyrinth, and is now my permanent Labyrinth farming character for the fourth year in a row. Mount Collection - Nixk

Nixk’s tamed mounts are very similar in color to the wild beasts found in Tyria with natural earthy tones. He’s a zoologist with a fascination in animal oddities, such as his jackalope and his raptor with the genetic condition for piebaldism.

Mount Collection - Mafic

Mafic has my favorite of mount skin theming of all my characters. All Inquest experiments to fuse Primordus’ magic into the beasts, all of his mounts have internal magma in which the outer body cools into the darkened mineral that share his name. His signature mount is his raptor, modeled after the legendary Primal Groudon.
