Jelly Time! This is my go-to mask after any kind of extra-exfoliating facial treatment. 🥝 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In this pic, I had just finished a pretty aggressive Ultrasonic facial (a fast quick vibrating hand piece that purges pores of excess sebum, debris and dead skin cells). 😧 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ After this treatment my skin is always very read and stimulated. 🥵. Using a cool jelly mask (shown here is by @esthemax) and nourishing serums after ( I used @repechage Hydra Medic Beta Serum and @glymedplus CBD Booster) can quickly reduce inflammation and tighten pores up. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ After these facials my skin is usually glowing and bright. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Not a bad cream but also, not a great cream. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 😧I’m gonna break this down as I see it. This cream is basically a bunch of bells and whistles. They have essentially thrown a bunch of flashy ingredients all into one cream hoping us customers will read into the hype. I love a good marketing scheme but after using this cream, I don’t see this cream as anything special. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It adds a little hydration 💧 here and there and makes skin feel smooth without being weighed down, but overall, my skin didn’t change much or show signs of improvement. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I will probably keep this guy in my travel makeup bag to share with my BF when we travel. This is so true and so hard to accomplish this time of year. ❄️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here are a few tips to get you through this winter weather. 🌨❄️💨 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. Don’t forget the SPF. Just because it’s cloudy or cold out doesn’t mean UV rays can’t affect your skin. UV exposure is the #1 cause of skin issues ( think wrinkles, dull skin, breakouts, pigment spots, and sensitivity). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2. Layer on the hydration. With heaters blasting and dry cold winds abound, skin struggles to maintain hydration this time of year. And we all know that lack of hydration in the skin can lead us down a long winding path to flakey, irritable, unhealthy skin. To ensure adequate hydration levels are maintained, try layering on some water based serums before you apply a nice oil based moisturizer or face oil. Take time between layers to access if another layer is needed. Rushing through these steps can leave skin tight and under hydrated. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3. Sheet masks are LYFE right now. Not only do these simple serum drenched masks help “quench” skin, they also allow skin to continually absorb these impactful serums for a longer amount of time than usual. Doing a sheet mask everyday in the winter is sometimes appropriate. If your skin is feeling a bit itchy or sensitive by the end of the day, try adding a sheet mask to your morning routine(just after you cleanse your face, before your daily toner/ serums). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 4. Add in the healing ingredients. This time of year you might want to start leaning on ingredients that help repair, heal or stimulate healthy skin cells. Over and over and over again..... 💧 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This Hyaluronic Acid Serum from @timelesshaskin ‘s Pure line has been a staple in my spa for over 7 years. I have purchased it every year since then. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I use it a bit differently than maybe most do, but none the less, I use it and a lot of it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Instead of using this as a simple serum in a daily routine facial, I enjoy mixing this with other products. The basic formulation of this serum lends itself as a great booster to any mask, serum or moisturizer. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My favorite application of this serum is blending it with stiff clay based masks that are hard to spread or dry up easily. Adding a few vials of this silky serum help crate a smoother, easier to use mask, all while adding a dose of hydration from the Hyaluronic Acid. I can’t tell you the number of times this serum has taken a product I rarely used and turned it into something that was accessible and easy to handle. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @timelesshaskin is an amazingly affordable company with several lines of serums (and a couple creams) that all can be mixed in this way. If you haven’t seen them before, it’s definitely worth a look. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This little puppy rings in at $9.95 for 1oz and is worth every drop.
