angst ass darry hdc time!!

when his parents died and he was first getting into a stable job and actually caring for pony and soda, he often wouldn’t bring home money for enough food for all of them. as a result he would usually pretend to feel sick to his stomach and not eat any dinner as a result until he knew both ponyboy and soda were actually full, and then and only then does he say he’ll ’try to’ eat. it’s rare the brothers leave anything though so darry usually goes to bed on a painfully empty stomach. it’s not until he passes out at work that pony and soda realize and they pitch in together to make a meal for him. he damn near cried.

in the end he went to bed on a full stomach and soda and pony always make sure that darry is eating too.

idk why i’m making so many darry hcs, he’s not even my favorite character lol

so how are we feeling after that absolute BANGER of bio paper 3 chat

man I would give just about anything to watch Luca for the first time again. I went in knowing absolutely nothing abt it — not the characters, not the story, nothing — and it broke something open inside me. I have never felt so completely wrapped up in a movie like I did Luca. I don’t think I could ever even properly articulate why this movie means so much to me, it just does. it’s not a perfect or outstanding film — but it’s perfect to me.

hey just checking: im not falling into any problematic stereotypes with this character, am i?

-he is a magic user, but there are lots of other (non pwa) magic users in the story. he is powerful, but not exceptionally so (note: i originally called magic users "witches", but after scrolling this blog i have decided to remove this and use more ambiguous terms- i hope this is okay)

-he is a protagonist and a good guy. he gets frustrated easily and is very stubborn but works on these issues throughout the story and is always shown to be kind and caring despite his flaws

-he has purpley-blue eyes, not red

-luckily for him the world has been trapped in eternal night for plot reasons. well, lucky in the sense that he does not have to be as careful about burning (? i think- please talk about pwa and night) the crops of his small community that is reliant on farming dying because theyre unable to photosynthesise is not lucky

-the other characters dont treat him badly for having albinism but sometimes are surprised by how pale he is if they have not met him before

-his eyesight is not really a focal point, but i try to include things like him not being able to see far away things and struggling in bright lights (i.e with a fire near to him)

-described poetically at one point as pale like the moon by a character before they know his name? idk this one feels borderline unacceptable so i thought id ask- its not a negative comparison, but is it too close to the pwa are witches stereotype? if so i can easily change it

I think this sounds perfect! I’m glad my blog could help you out with this! i appreciate you taking the term witch out too :) all of that seems fairly accurate!

as for PWA at night, there’s not really much to say lol-we do get burnt in the shin very easily though. and the sunlight can be dangerous for us and our eyes, as it can furtherly mess up our eyesight and we can get freckles on our eyes.

And for how pale we are, i’ve kinda done skin comparison’s with some of my friends usually as a joke, and my skin )(as someone with OCA) was about as pale as a redhead’s skin? we don’t have freckles, but if you look at references of someone with red hair that’s about the skin tone we have, if not paler.

I know a lot of people won’t see this, but after much deliberation, I’ve come to the conclusion that I am biromantic grey-ace. Is it a mouthful? Yeah, kind of. Am I comfortable with it? For the first time, I’m saying yes, I 100% feel safe with this identity.
