What questions would you ask your favorite author given the chance?

I’m not sure who qualifies as my favourite author tbh? I’d happily listen to a number of people talk about the worlds they created for all eternity - like, not necessarily asking actual questions, just sitting there and quietly crying.

Alternatively, I’d quite like to grad Robbin Hobb’s shoulders and yell ‘WHYYYYYYYY??’ why shaking her like a pear tree. I’m not sure it counts as a question tho.

What’s the first book you can remember reading as a child?

Reading on my own? That would be the Adventures of Ratus the Green Rat, the books our CP teacher used to teach us how to read!

If you had to switch lives with one book character, who would it be?

Well I mean yeah, you got a point, it’s cool reading about them but in most cases, most of these people’s lives suck, soooo :D

(although. Ewan McGregor and his BFF don’t exactly count as book characters but I’d happily switch lives with either of them, at least for the duration of Long Way Round.)

What is the absolute worst book you’ve ever read?

OH GOD remember that book Machin gave me?? The one we cried over laughing repeatedly? I can’t for the life of me remember how it was called but definitely this one.

Fool's Assasin volume 2, for one. Also The Limit, and Fighter Boys, aaand that super cool book I bought in the US like 6 months ago and still haven't read? But mostly Fool's Assassin 2, really \o/

So to answer the question you DIDN'T ask, there are 15 multiples of 3 between 1 and 45. I know, I just counted.

9: If you could change one thing about the past year what would it be?

Very obviously I'd quite like that friend of mine to, yknow, not die Apart from that I wouldn't change anything tbh, it's been a great year :'3

12: If you got the chance to relive this year would you do it?

I don't quite see what the point of that would be? But, what the hell, whyever not, it was a good year XD

15: Did any major life changes happen to you in the past year?

Let's see... I quit my job, moved countries (to my dismay), moved back in with my parents after over 10 years out of the family home, started another degree that had nothing to do with anything I'd done previously... sooo I'd say the answer is yes \o/ I mean I even started using that blog and writing fic...

18: What is the most memorable thing that happened to you in 2014?

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, THE MEXICO TRIP. Like it might be because I came home like not even a week ago, but this trip was SO ACE I CAN'T EVEN DESCRIBE IT.

I don't think I've really seen anything life changing in 2014? Somehow I kinda feel like F1 massively got in the way of my movie addiction...

July 20th

39: What's the most impressive thing you did in 2014?

I have a feeling I should probably go for 'quitting that terrible job when my bosses did all they could to guilt trip me into staying', but in all honesty hitching a ride at the back of a random pick-up in the middle of nowhere in Mexico and successfully balancing a cup of a coffee through the entire ride takes the cake in my book
