Do you have links / sources about Nestlé? I remember you telling me about it but I never read actual sources, I wanna be more educated about this.
So, here’s the video (in German with English subtitles) that started the water thing. He later tried to change what he said (he did it in English while the first video, being in German, went much more under the radar). On the first video he also go on about other stuff, like genetically modify food and work and work hours. He said more or less that humans have everything they need for but still want more (it’s easy when you are CEO of Nestlé).
There is a documentary called Bottled Life, explaining how Nestlé is responsible for people’s water supply being destroyed. You can watch some of it here and there’s a part about a small village supply being depleted. I can’t find the entire thing anymore.
They have been pumping water with permit that went expire decades ago…
Plus they are making the California drought even worse by pumping water, stopping people from having access to that water and selling it for profit to them… They have been pumping about “80 million gallons of water a year” in Sacramento’s area only. They are allow to pump a lot more water in drought area because they are pumping from Indian Reservation where the law is not the same. And evading some taxes in the process.
Not water related but :
Purina is one of the dog food brand by Nestlé. They were recently sued because their food is killing dogs, literally (more than 3.000 complaines this year I think). The owners of the dogs are saying Nestlé more or less put anti freeze chemicals in the food, knowingly. Nestlé say its FDA approved. They were sued two other times (but won). They say they are innocent but still paying off owners (via foundations) and recalled the food… You can read some here
There is countless other stories about how bad Nestlé is. They only care for profit. They have plenty of brands I didn’t know were theirs (like Herta) but I’m definitively avoiding buying anything they own. Their water pumping behavior is maybe one of the worse thing they are doing but there’s other things too.
Here’s a list of their brands. On the Nestlé website they aren’t listing everything.
