People not making this connection between dairy and veal is likely why so many people continue to consume cow's milk.

Beyond this, the FDA says a whole LOT of things are OK that really shouldn't be - both for health and for ethical reasons.
It would be interesting if dairy had to include warning labels about the amount of hormones, blood, and pus in their products.

When you think about it, it's pretty strange that we've been so thoroughly conditioned to eat some species but be revolted at eating others.
