How would the skelebros(UT and UF) react to going into a haunted house with a scaredy cat S/O? (Does this count as a headcanon?? If not you can ignore it)
Yeeee. Sorry, this is late.
UT!Sans:
He’s a pretty chill guy about most things, but haunted houses aren’t really his cup of ketchup, if you get me. In the spirit of the season though, and with your urgings, he’ll tag along with you. He probably already knows you’re a scaredy cat and figures he should make sure you don’t die from fear or something. Can humans do that? They probably can.
Anyway, you two go to one of the local houses, nothing too extreme but the local kids put a lot of effort into it so it actually looks pretty creepy from the outside. After getting tickets you two enter and you are immediately glued to his arm. Not that he minds. To get your mind off of the situation, he’ll say some haunted house puns that inadvertently cause one of the actors to snort.
This becomes a game of how long does it take to break the poor actors. Most of them are chuckling by the time you two leave their area, and more than a few give Sans a high five. So, in short, Sans both ruined and relieved the whole situation.
UT!Papyrus:
Ah, Papyrus. He jumps at the chance to go to a haunted house with you, excited at the prospect of being your ‘knight in shining armor’. This bean is ready, though he is a little nervous. He’s not a big fan of scary things and doesn’t want to embarrass himself in front of you.
Turns out, haunted houses aren’t so scary after all! Human monsters are a bit weird and very bloody for some reason, but he can’t see what makes them different than regular monsters! When one jumps out at you he can’t help but try to start up a friendly conversation.
By the time you guys are done, he’s befriended most of the actors and has a few new phone numbers stored away for later hangouts. You don’t really know how he managed it, but he did and it’s nothing short of a miracle. When he asks you how he did in his endeavor to protect you, you should assure him that he was a great help. He’ll be beaming for days.
UF!Sans:
Hell yeah, UF!Sans is down for a haunted house. An opportunity for his scaredy-cat s/o to cling to him? Sign him up. Sure, he’s a little nervous. Not that he’ll admit it. He’s a very anxious, jumpy guy. It’s a human haunted house though, how scary can it be?
He’s questioning his life choices by the time you arrive. The house is decorated for the season and looks very spooky. The local college kids went all out with the attraction, even renting an old, creaky house to add to the atmosphere. UF!Sans isn’t one to back away from a challenge, however, so he swallows his fear and follows you in. If he’s gripping your hand a little tighter than usual, don’t mention it.
This was a bad idea. He’s nearly killed three of the actors and has your hand gripped in his own so tight that you think you can hear your bones creaking. No, he did not scream like a baby-bones. By the time you guys are out of there you both are shaking, though relieved it is over. He’ll never admit to being scared, and don’t you dare try to say he was.
UF!Papyrus:
Ug, really? UF!Papyrus thinks the whole idea of a haunted house is childish and immature. There’s no real danger, so what’s the fun? Plus, from what he’s seen on the internet, they’re not scary in the slightest! With a little bit of tailbone kissing, however, you manage to convince him to join you, singing him praises the whole drive there.
When you arrive at the attraction, he’s mildly impressed. They’ve got a good atmosphere going, he’ll admit. It is a touch overdone, and some of the blood splatters are not realistic in the slightest, but it’s better than what he was expecting. When you tell him you need to hold his hand because you’re scared, he’ll scoff but allow it. Why would you go somewhere to intentionally scare yourself?
He did not shriek at the first jump scare, no. He did not heave you over his shoulder and sprint out of that god-forsaken place, no he didn’t. Not at all. Absolutely no chance. Nada. You speak of this to anyone you’re dead.
