I just used the paint tool in Gimp to ‘erase’ the parts of the tattoo I didn’t like and then I chose to overwrite the .dds file, and it actually worked. Didn’t seem to cause issues, but since I wasn’t really sure what I was doing (don’t know shit about Gimp), I’d still caution to try it at your own risk.

I’m not sure if we’re talking about the same person.. I googled it just to double check and got several articles about the pastor who was against gay marriage “didn’t mean he was going to BURN himself” and instead claimed that he was quoting a passage of the bible.
/However/, there was a Texas pastor who a year ago burned himself because he failed when it came to standing up to those who opposed “radical inclusiveness”
