Behold the Skuther!!!

For years I have wanted to create a faithful, 3D-version of the “Ultimate life-form” from SPORE Creatures DS. I’ve tried for years (off-&-on again) to make a satisfactory Skuther in actual SPORE, and none of my attempts really worked... 

But now, thanks to a number of recently-released mods for SPORE, such as (but not limited to) @valla-chan‘s Vanilla Parts and emd4600′s Advanced Creature Paint, I have finally made a Skuther that is anatomically, colorfully, and aesthetically accurate to the original 2D version (with a wee bit of artistic liberty added here and there).

I don’t remember jack shit about this game, other than that there was an angry octopus fetus that wanted to take over the universe.

So here I managed to find my 1st ever attempt at making a Skuther in 3D Spore, back in 2011.

And here's my 2023 Skuther (which you may already have seen from a previous post of mine)

And then the original 2D Skuther from Spore Creatures DS

I guess the point I'm getting at here is, never give up on creating, or drawing, painting, sculpting, etc., because even if your end product isn't great now, it won't be any better later if you just give up all together.

And sometimes, you just don't have the necessary materials available to make what you envisioned. I was only really able to make this 2023 Skuther thanks to a number of mods that had only just released this year.

If there's anything else I'd like to say about Spore & making creatures, it would be:

If it doesn't look like what you wanted it to, make another, and another, and another, until you have a satisfactory animal, building, vehicle, etc.

If you can't make it now, try again later

And please, for the love of Spode, have fun with it.

Anyone remember Spores Creatures? You know that DS Spinoff game from Ten Years Ago... (damn it’s been ten years)

Well I had a bit of a surge to draw the Main Villain from that game, Gar’Skuther, mainly cause his design is neat, he was a pretty messed up, there is almost nothing drawing wise of him, and he could DANCE!

So yeah, here we are, I doubt this is gonna cause any surged of fanart for this guy... BUUUUUT I do hope it at least triggers some nostalgia vibes of some sort.
