Wasn't there a game where Sky Attack looked like an Aerodactyl?

I could'a swore there was a early gen Pokemon game where either Sky Attack, or a similar flying type attack, replaced your Pokemon's sprite with something that looked like an energy Aerodactyl when the attack went off.
