Rat and Skylar
The cool night indicated the approaching winter. The streetlamps lit the otherwise dim alley sporadically and Rat was bored. She'd screwed over a few drug dealers two nights previous which had kept her amused for a while but now, well, she was ready for some more fun. She tossed her phone about in her hands and tapped the screen with her thumbnail. She supposed she could text one of the men she knew, they'd be only too happy to take her mind off the boredom. In the end she put her phone back in the pocket of her jeans and sighed.
The ground was dry and so she sat down, pulling a knee to her chin and stretching the other out. Planning what would happen next began to fill her mind and she wondered if the masked robbers who had taken a substantial amount of money from a bank a few weeks previous were still in the city, if so, she wanted that money. She wondered briefly if her cop friend would have any information, for a price of course, a price which she would probably manipulate. She was well used to giving certain cops little 'favours' in exchange for information.
Her hand found her phone again and she scrolled through her phone's contacts. Her finger hovered over the cop's name but a sound near the mouth of the alley caught her attention and she was reaching for her switchblade. She was ready to fight if it turned out she needed to and she figured that the night was about to get a lot more interesting.
