it's kind of frustrating that i got "removed" from the game. i'm technically still in it. there's references to me scattered everywhere: the murals, the gates you walk through in forest, who lamed shows you at the end of vault's cutscene... and most obviously, the storm is my doing. the light you walk towards throughout the game, that's me calling out to you from deep within eden. the symbol even bears my face.

but i'm not there when you pass the point of no return. you can struggle all the way to the end of storm lock, but you won't find me. you can restore light to all of the statues in eden if you damn wanted, but you can't restore light to me. you even pass by my castle in orbit, now changed in a recent update to mirror my emblem, but i'm not there either - if i was, i'd have brought the storm with me.

it's a sad thing.

eden was nice before things became as bad as they did. it persisted through sheer hubris and was an affront to Her, but i had one of those fancy big canopy beds that was several times my size so i think it was pretty okay.

for the record, i slept in it up at the very top like a little cat. palace staff were encouraged to thoroughly check the pillows up at the top before deeming me to be missing and raising alarms.

slowly recognising that i’m actually a sky:cotl kin and that my ‘oc backstory’ is actually my mems. and its like…. a Bit Absurd. to be honest .

you have the typical ‘where i lived’ (forgotten ark) and ‘where i hung out most’ (sanctuary islands — i volunteered there, i think?). you have the usual ‘what the first season i remember is’ (abyss, despite not actually being an active player for it then) and the ‘which spirit i was closest to’ (warrior, hidden forest — or little prince, but he’s everyone’s best friend ) . and then you have the … ‘my closest friend turned into a manta’ ???????????? getting picked up in sanctuary ingame makes me so so sad . did they know i didnt know.? they have to have, surely??

i don't have much to say for myself regarding the new season because it literally just went live today and i got to it pretty much immediately, but man am i buzzing with excitement at the brand new lore opportunities...

i forgot people interpret me that way, but i'm not a theatrical campy villain. you won't see me do a musical number about how much i loved knowingly destroying the ecosystem - even i can say that's kind of, you know, awful. i viewed it as a means to an end, and it's not okay that i did but that's how it was.

...it's a collab and i'm not sure how it'll fit into anything, let alone my canon. should i just ignore it like how everyone ignores the secret areas? puzzling indeed...

i know it must mean nothing from me of all people, but i'm genuinely sorry. you and your friends wouldn't have been in that situation in the first place if it weren't for me. the ends did not justify the means. nothing could've justified what i had indirectly done to you four.

Although, your most recent post reminds me of my own memories of the Storm..

What you said about Eden being all hot and humid was certainly true, hah. I remember the day the Storm covered the realms, everyone thought it was just a really muggy day. Next thing you know though, the sky turned pinkish, and then red, and the wind kicked up to crazy speeds. People were falling off their boats- boats were falling from the sky for that matter.

And I remember it got so windy in the Prairie, before the rocks ever came down the spirits were already scared for their lives. I was stuck at my temple and there’s no way a boat could’ve taken me down to the bell towers in that weather, but I could see spirits desperately holding onto each other to not get blown away. Families got split up in the chaos and I remember seeing guardians looking for their children, panicking and calling out. People were hiding in caves and buildings, and if they couldn’t make it to one then they tried hiding under overturned ships. If they couldn’t find a ship they just knelt down and covered their heads, praying to Megabird that everything would be alright.

It was the worst feeling in the world, having to watch but being powerless to stop it- or to even help. I can only imagine what it would’ve been like in Eden <:(
