I’m a day late but what else is new LMAOO
And this year we are celebrating and introducing Emily Campbill!
@dellyduck and I have been working on her for the last couple of months and we are so excited to finally show you guys what she looks like and give you all some more insight about her ^_^
So not only is she SCD’s mom and Dewey’s wife, she has also been friends with Dewey since flight school, they met when they were around 13/14 years old, and not too long afterwards she met the rest of his family and friends. She clicked really quickly with Shelly, with Huey and Webby following afterwards, and her relationship with Louie, Violet and Lena are the ones she struggles a little to have as their personalities conflict a lot with hers, not in a bad way though.
Emily enjoys flying, music, grows to enjoy the McDuck’s adventures although she mostly enjoys it because she’s with her friends, and she loves herself a good mystery.
Upon meeting Dewey and the rest of the group, Emily is a really shy and reserved person, so it takes a while for her to open to people, Shelly got lucky though as she and Emily share a passion for music, Emily specifically really enjoys singing, and they connect that way.
In the classic trope of history repeating itself, Dewey sat behind Emily in flight school, in a similar fashion to how Kit sat behind Della, and while there was no borrowing a pen and then losing said pen, there was some stumbling across the lonely shy girl while she’s alone and comfortable and seeing how much she shines when she believes to be by herself.
Emily grows to have feelings for Dewey relatively quickly after they start their friendship, Dewey’s natural charm and playful flirting both with her and with others around him caught her attention, but because of how friendly Dewey is in general, she doesn’t see a future relationship with him happening so she keeps her feelings for him to herself for many years, in fact no one but Louie actually knows of Emily’s affection for Dewey until they’re all older and in college, Dewey, however, does remain oblivious to this information for a while longer.
Dewey did actually gain feelings for Emily throughout high school, but because Emily never gave off any impression she liked him other than a friend, Dewey too kept his feelings under wraps up until later on. That being said, Dewey does have his fair share of relationships (both serious and short ones) during high school.
The two do finally start dating when they’re 24 and have a sweet loving relationship for the next year before the day comes where Dewey gets down on one knee and asks that famous question when they’re 25. Skye and Chase enter their lives at 27, with Danny coming along when they’re 29. Emily is incredibly loving for her kids and wants nothing more than to have a loving and happy future, unfortunately, some things happen and...
