Really? Are you at all surprised, or for that matter are you okay?

Yeah, I’m fine, but thank you! imo diagnosis is a good thing, it helps me understand myself better. “another piece in the puzzle” as my doctor put it. I don’t need treatment right now because it’s not interfering with my life atm and there’s no pointing in complicating my system with more drugs, but we might revisit that when I’m back to school in january.

I’m not super surprised? I hadn’t given a lot of thought to the possibility of adhd before a few months ago, but I have a lot of friends who have adhd and their descriptions of their experiences (especially @czarcaustic’s) have often sounded... somewhat familiar. currently I’m seeing my doctor once a month in relation to other mental health things, and two appointments ago I mentioned my issues with concentration to her, at which point she gave me an adult adhd symptom self-report checklist to take home and fill out. I did, and then started reflecting more seriously on the possibility of me having adhd, and the more I thought about it the more sense it made. I forgot to take the sheet back for my last appointment, but I remembered it today and it looks like I’m a strong match for the diagnosis criteria.

(on this note: my mom has always said that my dad probably had attention deficit. given that he never got his anxiety diagnosed until after I got my diagnosis, today’s findings piqued his interest a little. he’s always figured my mom was likely right but he never bothered mentioning it to the doctor because most adhd meds would be bad for him, given they’re typically stimulants. but when he got home today he started looking at some of the self-report material online - he found something quite similar to what the doctor gave to me - and discovered, unsurprisingly, that he scores pretty high too.)

given how bad my concentration has been in the last few years (and throughout my childhood, too, frankly, but there were other factors that could explain that too) except when I’m hyperfocussed on something, this is really no shock to me. I’ve really never been ‘hyperactive,’ but I wouldn’t be surprised if this has always been going on for me. we all know adhd goes underdiagnosed in girls, so.

Maybe in BBTBC Jackie thought the dinosaur wouldn't be 'cool', though I highly doubt it. Heck, it was in Interdimensional Field Trip.

I thought about it as well, maybe in a deleted scene Marco removed the phone’s cover before the date because he was ashamed by it, but it honestly sounds like an overly complicated way to explain what might be a completely possible mistake. And Jackie had already seen it plenty of times before anyway.

Why do Mewmans look the most "human?" I mean, haven't seen others that looks as similar. Except Tom, since he's a hybrid. I guess the whole, 'man' thing? Never saw, 'fishman', so I guess?

Many possible reasons, but the main one I can think of is “Daron already had the design for Star from when she was supposed to be a normal girl and they used the same for the actual show”
