new boot goofin
my mom went to lunch with a couple of her siblings last week and I guess in conversation mentioned that she and I had been watching The Bear. apparently my Uncle Doug’s response was “oh yeah, we watched the first couple seasons of that, but I had to quit because there were too many fuckin closeups on that guy’s face”
which is. hysterical to me.

playing with the button maker some more, this time as a canvas (so to speak) for teeny collages!
elements all came from a stack of magazines/books I’ve collected specifically for collaging reasons - mostly a Breck’s bulbs catalog, Nat Geo’s ‘125th anniversary photography issue’ from Oct 2013, and a special edition Life magazine about cats :)
Mo’s review was, “some of these would go hard on aesthetic tumblr ten years ago”
anyone else relate
some of us just don’t want to read problematic white authors so ao3 is our only option 🤷♀️
oh there is no saving youse
the famously unproblematic white authors of ao3
what happened to "cool as fuck grandma" as a character trope. i miss "cool as fuck grandma"
a picture that’s worth a thousand words
going with the flow in a face down in a river kinda way
No one knows if finishing a drawing is possible
i feel like there is a sleep in me that needs to be slept but each time i sleep i don't sleep that sleep
ok i know i'm one to talk but genuinely if you think 👍 or ❤️ is "passive aggressive" you might be spending a bit too much time on your phone jeez louise
who thinks 👍 is passive aggressive i read it as an old timey mobster going "on it boss"
Whenever I use thumbs up I'm sticking my hand out from under a pile of rubble, too exhausted to speak, but signalling I'm okay
so I looked up the article to make sure it wasn’t taken out of context and it’s even better than I could’ve thought:
Holland said this allowed him to “lay down the law” on the “Spider-Man” set “and say, ‘We are not going to come to set and figure it out. We need to know why we are making this movie beyond the fact that it’s ‘Spider-Man 4’ and they make loads of money and we’re going to just have a big summer. Why are we making this movie?’ And Destin was super instrumental in that, but it was just really great to constantly be calling up the studio and [producers] Amy [Pascal] and Rachel [O’Connor], who I love, and be like, ‘Well, Chris is doing it this way. This is how I think we should be doing it.’ ”
Apparently Sony allowed Holland to postpone Spider-Man production due to how reliable Christopher Nolan is to actually wrapping up on time. Holland said this ended up beneficial because it allowed them to hire Destin Daniel Cretton (director of Shang-Chi) and give him a proper six months for further script development.
Holland also says The Odyssey was “the best experience I’ve had on the film set,” and that “I feel like I have a new perspective on where I want to exist in Hollywood.”
Wh-what do you mean it’s from a birthday cake
We could have been eating him
people have said it before but if you read a lot of historical literature you do begin to just sort of think in that style of language. I’ll put down the 18th century journal I’m reading and have to resist the urge to send academic emails with every Noun capitalized and punctuated only by the profuse Usage of the Em-Dash — it is a deceptively challenging Instinct to resist, & worse is that Instinct when spelling certain Words to utilize what would, some Centuries prior, be an appropriate Spelling, excepting that my Correspondence occurs in the Twenty-First Century, where Men are inflexible and uncreative in their Methods, & this Propensity of mine would appear only foolish & incorrect, instead of suggesting what it in actuality reflects, which is that I am simply an Incorrigible Nerd — O! the Woes of modern Sociability! Why should I be compelled to conform to these d——d modern Conventions! Is it not enough to be unabashedly and impudently Autistic?
sorry to anyone who followed me for anything. you're not getting that
