There are interview reports, a memoir by the killer, autopsy reports, a psychiatrist's autobiography, and trial notes, all fictional, all lending the novel an eerie air of verisimilitude. It's a mystery, not a thriller. Read it for its engrossing look at the conditions that make a killer and be prepared to judge his guilt for yourself. #NetGalley
