Ok, I need more of that Marcoace Tortall Crossover. What did Numair need their help with? Why does Ace speak dragon? Is, was Marco like the Kraken where he somehow avoided being sealed at all? When is this? Is this pre Immortals war or post?
“You never do anything by half,” Marco says looking over the stone tablet that Numair had brought into their home, worn but still easy to read, ignoring Ace cooing over Kitten with Numair’s student. Ace thought dragons were the cutest things. “Where did you find this?”
“I didn’t it was given to me,” Numair answers tugging at the end of his horse tail. “Or to Diana to be honest. I don’t recognize it and you’re the only person that I know who might have a hint about what it says.”
Marco hums, “It’s about how they locked away immortals. Or they tried. This says that a number escaped.”
“I hadn’t known that you had met, but yes, just like the Kraken. It’s a list of them. Some more human than others or able to pretend to be. Only dangerous to those who take what belongs to them. Family or friends. Are you looking for them?”
Numair shifts, “We’re looking for allies. There’s a war coming and Cathrak is will have a number of allies and immortals on their side. We could use the same.”
“I see,” Marco says slowly. “Ace, come here,” he smiles as Ace grumbles, urging Kitten back into her mother’s arms. “Look at this for a moment, will you?”
Ace raises an eyebrow, “I know most of those names. Are you killing Immortals these days, Numair?”
“Don’t tease people like that,” Marco smiles. “It seems that war is more imminent then we thought. And there’s immortals on at least the other side. Numair, what about yours?”
“Not as much, Daine has spoken to a small number of them and they either can not or will not aid us.”
Ace tips his head, “We haven’t had much fun and I think you could use the chance to stretch?” his voice is soft and his fingers linger on Marco’s cheek. “And I’m sure that I could have a little fun?”
“Perhaps,” Marco agrees leaning into Ace’s touch. “I’ll speak to those on this list Numair, some of them may not be willing but at least two of them will be on your side.”
“I think I speak for myself and my husband well enough, don’t you, Ace?”
