Some skywing headcanons

I think I would be cool if they had feathers to help keep them warm. They have the biggest wings out of all the tribes. Very sharp claws for holding on cliffs /rock faces. Strong arm muscles that connect to the wings. Skywings are the thinnest out of all the tribes but they are also the tallest. They look more like birds and some Skywings have tail feathers. More headcanons under the cut!

I actually have PROMPTS for my October dragons now courtesy of @wof-october-prompts!!! Today's prompt is flames so of COURSE I had to draw Peril, the flamiest flaming dragon to ever flame. (Sorry Flame you just aren't blazing enough to take that title; props for being named Flame though!!)

Something I love that the books do with Peril is use flames as a metaphor for her trauma? Like Moon says that it feels like her entire mind is burning, and when she starts to heal the flames subside a bit.

I really adore that image in my head, so I decided to visualize it. I also love the headcanon that her flames burn hotter when she's in distress? Like panic attacks or PTSD episodes causing things near her to burst into flames. Wings of Fire loves literalizing its metaphors (Glory being full of venom, the idea of animus powers losing you your soul, etc) so I also feels like it fits right in.
