New Blog, Who Dis?
Let me start by saying first of all, I've never had a blog. But, I'm searching for a new creative outlet, and I think that this format of writing will be good for me. Secondly, I love talking about music - hip hop specifically. The goal of this blog for me is to build a place to talk about music, discover new music, and enjoy the experience of sharing something new with someone else.
So, about me - I'm 25 years old, I live in a small city in Massachusetts. I work as a general contractor, mostly focusing on interior renovations. I live with my girlfriend and my dog; I'm sure I'll post about both of them from time to time. I'm renovating my house that I just bought in fall, as well as my parents' house, and I have a few other projects that I'm working on that I will post updates on. I love traveling, and try to go to new places as much as possible. I'll use this blog to post about work, travel, and my day to day life, while still having a focus based in hip hop.
I've been an avid hip hop fan since I discovered the genre early on in life. I mostly listen to older boom bap type stuff, but try to keep current with big releases and underground artists. As for other music, I listen to a good amount of R&B (mostly older), sometimes country, classic rock, metal, punk and ska. But unless a certain project really has me excited, I'll mostly keep it directed on hiphop. I also rap myself, and if I have any new music releasing I will definitely be posting it here.
