sakuragi's gaze eats at you, burning your back as he stares at you.. lovingly? god knows what he's on about, but he's looking at you all day, and the moment you look at him, he immediately either gets up and turns on his heel and shies away from you, or looks away with the hugest, most obvious dark red blush and starts laughing like an idiot. a “genius”.
“n-no! im not looking at you!? WHY would i?”
hes so obvious. literally everyone knows..
rukawa is a cocky bastard. he's subtly looking at you from time to time, during practice, listening to music, in class — but if you notice him, he huffs and looks away, his chin on his palm as he avoided you coldly. as if he wasn't the one to start it!
nonetheless, he glances at you. nobody realizes it but you — his subtleness was something that only troubles you, as you'd love to catch him looking at you. just once, without him huffing back or retorting snarky.
mitsui refuses to let you catch him. if you do, you're not seeing his face for the next 3 days straight, yet his gaze never leaves you. he's always blushing, fumbling, murmuring.. like a child in front of his favorite person.
one can call it away as shyness or embarrassment, but looking closer, he's like sakuragi — obviously lovesick.
miyagi doesn't even hide it. you catch him looking? he smiles and waves. see him blushing? he blushes harder and giggles. it doesn't matter to him — as long as it got you to notice, works just fine.
“what are you looking at, ryota?”
“..you!”
he's laughing, smiling, bright and lovey. unlike all of them, he loves it when you notice.
kogure is never normal when you're around. words barely roll out of his mouth, voice cracks, red face, sweaty hands.. you have more of a negative effect on him, especially because of his looking. his eyes admire you every second, and when you notice his obvious self, he mutters and mumbles as he busies himself with absolutely anything.
if he smiles at you when you notice him, it feels like he's possessed! no one believes their eyes when they see it..
professionalism gets the better of him, akagi doesn't look very often. though, during matches and practice, it's like a ritual for winning to look at you at least once. and no, he doesn't hide it. like, at all.
it's more of a “wish me luck„ type of glance, smirking before locking in. on normal days, though, you'd find him looking back and forth at you, and not making a reaction if you catch him.
nonchalant, say the least.

Hey beautiful, can I ask for a fluff, Rukawa from Slam Dunk x fem!reader who is manager for the basketball team ? She's so beautiful and flirty, but she's the kind of girl who says "I do this for the girls and the gays" and she's often cold to men except for Rukawa, she's a simp to him. Sorry, I hope this isn't too detailed and that you don't mind. Have a good evening and lots of happiness and love 💛
Crush
pairing: Rukawa Kaede x fem!reader
summary: you shoot your shot
You didn’t become the Shohoku basketball team manager by accident. Hell no!
You became it because you were organized, sharp-tongued, devastatingly pretty, and because you loved basketball almost as much as you loved putting men in their place. Everyone knew that.
You made it very clear.
“I do this for the girls and the gays,” you said once, adjusting your clipboard while Sakuragi stared at you as if he’d just witnessed a religious event.
He later threw a basketball at your head, on purpose!
You were flirtatious in a way that was effortless, lip gloss always perfect, smile slow and knowing but you were cold to men by default.
Polite, yes.
Kind, when necessary. Interested? Rarely. Most of them got a raised eyebrow, a clipped answer, and your back as you walked away.
Except for Rukawa Kaede.
Rukawa, who sat silently tying his shoes while chaos unfolded around him. Rukawa, who barely reacted to anything, except you.
It started small. You offering him water before he asked. You remembering how he liked his towel folded. You standing a little closer to him than strictly professional when the gym got loud and overwhelming.
And then there was the way you looked at him.
Not only was it completely open, it was shamelessly. The way one might thirst over a Victorian ladies exposed ankles.
“You’re staring,” Haruko whispered once.
“I’m appreciating,” you whispered back. “Mind your business.”
Rukawa noticed, of course. He noticed everything about you, even if he pretended not to. The way your perfume changed when you were nervous. The way your voice softened only when you spoke to him. The way you touched his arm when you handed him water or food.
Practice ended late that evening. The gym emptied slowly, echoes of bouncing balls fading into silence. You were gathering cones when you realized you weren’t alone.
Rukawa was still there, sitting on the bench, towel draped around his neck. His hair was damp, eyes heavy but sharp as ever.
“You didn’t leave,” you said lightly.
“You didn’t either,” he replied.
You smiled, a real one, the kind you saved for moments like this. You walked over, holding out his water bottle without thinking. He took it, fingers brushing yours.
It was electric. Every time.
“You seem down today,” you said.
He shrugged. “Tired.”
You nodded, then hesitated before sitting beside him. Close, but not touching. You were always careful. Too careful, maybe. Honestly, it was the overthinker in you.
“I think you’re incredible,” you blurted suddenly.
Rukawa paused mid-sip.
You winced. “Sorry. That was—”
“I know,” he said simply.
“You… know?”
“You’re not subtle.”
Heat rushed to your face, but you laughed. “Yeah. I don’t flirt with subtlety. I flirt with intention.”
“I noticed,” he said. “You don’t look at anyone else like that.”
You tilted your head. “Because I don’t want anyone else.”
Silence settled between you, heavy but not uncomfortable. Rukawa’s shoulder brushed yours this time, intentional. You froze, then relaxed. God, your heart wanted to just rip itself out of your fucking chest!
“You’re different with me,” he said quietly.
“I like you,” you replied just as softly. “And before you ask—no, I don’t do this for men. I do this for you.”
That made his lips twitch. A smile. Small, rare, and entirely yours. He reached out, fingers hooking lightly around your wrist. “Stay.”
You stayed.
You talked about nothing and everything. About basketball. About how exhausting people could be. About how lonely it felt to be surrounded by noise all the time. At some point, without either of you acknowledging it, your hand slipped into his.
It fit. Perfectly.
When you finally stood to leave, Rukawa walked you to the door. He stopped just before you stepped outside.
“Tomorrow,” he said. “Sit with me again.”
You grinned. “Manager duties?”
“No,” he replied. “You.”
Your heart did something embarrassing.
So, you leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to his cheek. “Goodnight, Kaede.”
He didn’t move until you were gone, fingers still warm where they’d held yours. And the next day, when the team noticed you sitting beside Rukawa again, your knee brushing his, his towel over your shoulders everyone understood.
You were still the same weirdo that pretty fucking rude.
Just not to him.
You fucking simp.
A/n: lmaooo this one was so good! I found it to be a funny prompt! I hope I did you justice 😣
Hi~ your post on study session headcanons was so relatable for me, because I’m preparing for exams right now! Wish Kogure-sempai could keep me company while I revise… Sigh
Would you do headcanons for Mitsui, Rukawa, Kogure, and how they’d make up with their s/o after an fight?
Thank you so much! Keep up the good work!
─꒰ᐢ. .ᐢ꒱─ slam dunk : kiss & make up ☆
⸝⸝ tl;dr : fights are always the worst thing to have with your partner. work features mitsui, rukawa, kogure, and you !
⸝⸝ note : not really hurt/comfort, but more so just the comfort after talking it out with the sd boys ! and thank u sm, peach, wishing you the best on exams ! (even though its vv late) =DD
you don't even remember what you fought about . was it a conflict on schedules ? were you being too clingy ? or lack thereof ? whatever it was, it felt awful .
mitsui hisashi . . .
look, i love the guy, but he's not the best at communication
chances are, he'll be giving you the cold shoulder for a couple of days, even though his heart yearns for your presence and his eyes automatically search for your name whenever his phone lights up with a notification
i feel like he'd be a bit prideful, not replying for hours on end and giving you terse replies whenever you speak — like i said, awful communication skills !!
secretly though, he'd be asking his friends for advice — kogure, specifically. and to some extent akagi as well; he knows that both of them are level-headed enough to hear both yours and his side of the story.
eventually, he breaks ; he misses being around you : (
mitsui stops you just as you were about to leave the room. it was late afternoon, the sun's rays slanting through the classroom windows. dust motes swirl lazily in the light as mitsui steps towards you once, twice, three times, until eventually you two are facing each other. his eyes are downcast, his feet shuffling on the worn wooden floors.
"look, i - uh -" he starts, and he curses. why the hell can't he talk ?
even when you're not doing anything, you can still render him speechless.
he stops, takes a deep breath, starts again. "i just wanted to say that i'm sorry, for you know, not answering your messages and not calling you back. ignoring you. i - i have no excuse for that; and i'm not proud of it, either. but i just wanna say that, whatever we fought about, we- we can talk it out, if you're okay with that. i wanna make this right. i don't like being in fights with you, and it feels weird, not talking to you. and the thing is, i-"
he sighs again, his gaze finally coming up to meet yours. his words come out in a whisper, his statement meant for you and you only.
"- i missed you."
kogure kiminobu . . .
easily the best communicator out of the three !!
he's the type of person that strives to end any miscommunication before it could even begin, so fights and arguments with him are infrequent, if not completely rare
the only scenario i can see wherein you'd get in a fight with him is about how maybe you're working too hard -- studying from the time you get home to the early hours of morning with no breaks in-between
kogure hates seeing you suffer, so often times he tries to offer advice, even if you don't want or need it
eitherway, an argument would happen ; maybe some hurtful words were thrown around, words that neither of you meant
regardless of who instigated, kogure would always be the one to first make amends
all around you, the world goes on -- students chatting excitedly over lunch, footsteps echoing all across the campus, birds and cars and people all just trying to move forward. but in this corner of the school, the one with the flowering cherry tree behind the cafeteria, the world only consisted of you and him.
you fidget with the water bottle in your hands, the condensation making your palms wet. the sweltering noontime heat makes you dizzy. (or was it from your lack of sleep?)
you raise your handkerchief to swipe at your sweat, but kogure beats you to it -- gently, he dabs his at your forehead, then your cheeks, then your neck. his hands are cool despite the heat.
"i'm sorry for what i said the other day," he says as he cools you down. "i ... i just don't want to see you having a hard time. i know that your deadlines were near and you have so much to do but i just really don't like seeing you so ... tired. you haven't been talking much lately and i haven't seen you smile all week so i - i just --"
"kiminobu." you cut him off, leaning your cheek into his palm. kogure's heart pounds in his chest ; you say his name so sweetly, so softly. "it's okay."
"are you sure?" he stammers, leaning forward to caress your face better. "it's just that i know i said some things that i shouldn't have said and it's --"
"kiminobu," you repeat again, your tone firm but gentle at the same time. you rest the weight of your head on his palms (along with the weight you've been feeling all week) and you smile at him. "it's okay."
kogure stares at you for a moment, then he smiles back, his eyes crinkling and a laugh spilling from his lips.
"okay," he repeats, nodding his head. "okay." he laughs, and it feels like he's weightless, floating on cloud nine.
rukawa kaede . . .
not much to say for rukawa tbh
but in all seriousness, the aftermath of your fights with rukawa would be silent and cold. much like mitsui, he tends to prioritize his pride and sore heart over actually making amends with you.
but that doesn't mean he doesn't care !
more often than not, he ends up with his fingers hovering over his phone's keyboard, trying desperately to think of a way to apologize to you, before sighing and just turning his phone off
he plays basketball to let off the steam, and also to occupy his mind from the lack of your presence : (
the sounds of rukawa's basketball hitting the floor echoes throughout the empty gym, mixing in with the sounds of cicadas chirping in the trees. moths gather under lamplights, their wings silvery in the night.
bam-bam-bam goes the ball, before his pace stuttersto a halt. he wipes the sweat off his forehead and checks the time -- 7 pm. that's enough practice for one day.
the cold night air greets him as he walks out the gym. as he swings his leg over his bike, he sees a familiar figure out of the corner of his eye.
"you're still here," he states, deadpan. he still hasn't figured out how to apologize to you, and his stiffness shows in his voice.
"yeah," you reply, clutching your bag tighter. you had been in the library with your classmates up until that point, working hard to finish a group project before tomorrow's deadline.
silence between the two of you. you walk on, and so does he, the click-click-click of his bike wheels the only sound disrupting the quiet turmoil of each other's thoughts.
the two of you exit the school campus, and for a moment you both falter on the concrete sidewalk, shoes scuffling the grit underfoot.
"i'll- i'll go this way, then," you mutter. what the hell, he hates this! everything feels so ... stilted. before rukawa could reply, you turn on your heel and start walking in the direction of the train station.
you barely manage three steps before rukawa cycles by, blocking you with his bike. he takes your bag and puts it in the front basket. pats the passenger seat of his bike with a determined gaze. "i'll take you home," he says. his voice is softer now.
there wasn't much else to do except to sit on the backseat of his bike and let him pedal you home, the night air causing goosebumps to erupt on your skin.
"wrap your arms around me," rukawa instructs. the wind carries his words, lifts it to your ear. you swear his breath hitches just the tinest bit when you do what he says, adding in a small nuzzle to his side for good measure.
"i'm sorry," you whisper after a while, voice half-muffled by the fabric of his coat. your fingers toy with the zipper of his jacket.
rukawa is silent for a bit, then he takes one hand off the handlebar and puts it atop yours. he intertwines your fingers with his, squeezing. his pulse vaguely thumps through his skin, sending beats vibrating through your palm.
"i'm sorry, too."
hello! i hope you’re having a great day, i was just going to generally ask for a fluff fic of sakuragi since he’s my absolute favorite ever. Honestly there’s no specific plot i’m asking just a sakuragi fic and it’s okay if you can’t do it!! take your time have an amazing day ^_^
Not the Last Time
Sakuragi Hanamichi x GN!Reader
You can not convince me that he isn't the cutest dork in Slam Dunk. I hope you enjoy this and have a great day, too! ^_^
Warning: kiss 💋
Hanamichi had never been in a girl’s room before. He’d never even imagined being in a relationship where he’d get to step inside her house—let alone, her safe haven, filled with every trinket and treasure she held dear. Yet here he was, his black socks pressed against the floor. Does this mean you like him, too?
—Wait, what was he thinking? Of course you did! You’d been dating for two solid months and three days.
He sits on your bed—your bed, the one you sleep in every night—legs now crossed, back straight against the headboard as you settle comfortably in front of him. Hanamichi feels his cheeks ignite as you bravely stare into his irises. He fights the urge to avoid your gaze and loses.
Your stiff posture—mirroring his—melts at the sight of his obvious shyness, shoulders shaking with laughter that fills his ears. The sound sends his heart fluttering against his ribs, wild as a caged bird, beating wings that only a true love’s kiss could still. Kiss—
Kiss.
If Hanamichi’s face was pink before, it’s crimson now—scorching under the heat of your laughter as you glance up at him, breathless and grinning at his cost.
"You're so adorable, Hanamichi-kun."
The way his name curls around your lips—soft between breaths—sends a jolt through him, scratching at some desperate, hidden part of his mind. His chest tightens; his fingers twitch against the bedsheets. Outside, he’s a statue-still as one can be. Inside? A wildfire. If he didn't know any better, he'd say he's having a fever. Then comes the honorific, harsh on your tongue and completely unfit. It acts as cold water to cool the tall teen down. A pathetic whimper, slips from his mouth.
He'll make sure you only call him by his name after this.
"You ready?" You ask.
A hum of agreement resounds throughout the room. He knows this, knows how he should move, and what angle to lean in, but it's different in practice because the movies didn't carry the weight of reality, they didn't feel the tension in the air that Hanamichi's currently experiencing or the emotions going through his mind.
He watches you close your eyes, hands clenching your blanket below as you stay rooted, waiting for him and Hanamichi— he can hear his heartbeat in his ears, banging against his ribcage and loudly making his nervousness known to the world. He has a tiny suspicion that you notice it, too. He's thankful you don't point it out. Otherwise, he might pass away on the spot.
Apparently, he takes too long since you're the first to lean forward. Hanamichi's shoulders freeze up as your lips lightly grace his closed ones, and he completely squeezes his eyes shut once you fully lay your warmth onto him, similar to two puzzle pieces that are cut perfectly to fit one another, completing him, he realizes that Hanamichi has been walking half-a-man his whole life. Hanamichi takes in the much needed oxygen while your noses touch, your warm breath flowing pleasantly against his face. Sakuragi loosens the grip on his sweatpants. It's nothing explicit and not like he expected it to be!
His cheeks are still warm as the chaste kiss ends, all too short for his liking.
He only opens his eyes when you pull away from him, smiling up at his face like you didn't make the tingling sensation under his skin that much more prominent.
"How does it feel?" You ask, voice shaky and airy, face almost the same shade of red as him. It's comforting to know that you're not judging, just asking— it soothes his tense form, wills him into a state of relaxation and satisfaction.
Hanamichi can get used to this.
"Like heaven." He answers, hand coming up to rub his flushed neck. Can you even distinguish where his neck ends and hair starts?
You giggle at his words, but it doesn't last long. However, the comfortable silence doesn't stay for long either, because the next time both of your eyes lock—
"Wanna do it again?" You say, and he can only nod up and down in a heartbeat.
