Back in 1985, Hans Erich Slany designed the Bosch KCM 318 portable television camera. It was created with a collar-like frame to rest on both shoulders.

What was so different about this concept?

Conventional cameras usually rest on one shoulder and can affect and strain the spine. For him, the ergonomic aspect, adapting a piece of equipment to the human body, was always of great importance.
