SAWYER: Getting this one out of the way cuz it's canon in-game! (Sawyer's fave option is definitely "fall asleep together after gently cleaning you up, cuddling, and ordering takeout" though!)

LAILA: Loves to play with your hair, pet you gently, let you lay on her lap, and coo at/praise you for being so good (even if you were bratty!). Laila's also extra good at checking to see if each session was cool with you/adjust her boundaries as necessary! She's SUPER sweet and communicative after sex. Also REALLY good at making sure you're hydrated afterwards! (Non-zero chance she has a mini fridge in her dorm room with La Croix).

TATE: Also REALLY loves playing with your hair, and serially addicted to tiny kisses on the head and neck while he nestles into you and tells you you're special. Might not let go of you for at least half an hour after sex. Does that thing where he'll gaze deeply into your eyes while passionately kissing you for long periods of time while caressing your face. Assuming they've been dating for a while:

SAWYER: Has been preparing for this for AGES. Not only will he start figuring out what to wear, how to introduce himself to them, how to show he's the best match for their precious son/daughter/kid, but ALSO he'll try to pay for dinner. You probably shouldn't let him, but he'll do it anyway. Calls your parents "Mr/Mrs/Mx So-and-So" until they say otherwise.

LAILA: Is initially VERY nervous, despite seeming calm and stoic on the surface about it - really, she's nervous because this doesn't happen unless you emotionally like someone a LOT, less so because she'd be meeting your parents. She'd want to make a good impression, if only to show that she's a total asset to your life!

HEX: Oh god. Hex has been trained to meet His Future Partner's Parents as part of his intense horror upper crust legacy upbringing SO HARD he immediately starts going into some sort of postapocalyptic preparation mode. Starts freaking out about whether your parents will notice if he wears his winter tartan wool suit instead of his winter plaid wool suit because it's not the right sub-season and his dads would KILL him if he offended your parents that way!! ....You should probably just take him to Chili's or something. Actually, that might be too highbrow. The ideal place for Hex to meet your parents is at a Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville

TATE: Flips the FUCK OUT. You will be lucky if he doesn't turn into Dark Tate at any point in this process, from being asked this to actually meeting your parents. In fact, Tate might prefer never meeting anyone's parents ever at all (even if they DO turn out to be perfectly fine)

JUNO: You are going to have to BEG Juno not to deliberately antagonize your parents. Juno is 100% not in it to win it with them but ALSO wouldn't want to piss you off TOO bad... they've just been born to piss off people's family. That's their life purpose. If your parents are the kind of people who jab back in a positive way, Juno will fit in! If your parents are the kind of people who jab back in a shitty bigoted or bullying way, Juno will bully them back SO HARD your conservative dad will forget who the fuck he voted for in the last 30 elections. If your parents are very proper and don't take kindly to being asked "have you heard of the new strain of ligma??" you'd PROBABLY have to do a bunch of damage control and expect them never to be invited back. (Which is kind of nice, tbh, i'm sure you could use a break from your fictional conservative parents sometime.)

Question, would any of the datables give the player a nickname (cute or otherwise) in their phone for the contact after they start dating?

Hex would DEFINITELY put you in as "BABE :) :) :)" with about a million and one emojis afterwards. Laila would have your formal full name but a custom ringtone so she knows not to ignore you if you call (unlike everyone else, who's less important)! I feel like Tate would do something really subtle like a little smiley face as your last name or something only he would be able to see (in case someone steals his phone for mean bullying reasons). Sawyer would def be a "My Girl/Guy/Baby" kinda guy until someone sees his phone and mocks him, whereupon he'll give them a good old-fashioned annoyance stabbing. Juno would be the opposite, you'd be in their phone as "HOT BUNZ" or something until you earn a real contacts name, lol

If you could date Horsemike I feel like he wouldn't put you in his phone at ALL until he started dating you, lmao. He's really self-conscious so he doubles up on the douchery!

If suddenly Mc dies from an accident, how are the datables going to react?

TATE: Will never love again. One of two things will happen: Either he walks the earth, alone, despondent, forever, never graduating, eventually disappearing into the darkness one day never to be seen again Silent Hill style, with everyone assuming he went to "find" the Player wherever they went, OR this is just the moment that makes the Eldritch Horror totally snap and take over permanently. The world might ACTUALLY end due to the carnage. Tate would 100000% end the world for ending you :(

LAILA: Ohhhh no. No no no. Death isn't the end, and we KNOW that! Laila's canvassing everyone undead or not-technically-alive around campus - Covington, Juno, Plutonium, anyone else she can think of - and starts concocting schemes to bring the Player back to life. BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY. You two were supposed to survive to the end TOGETHER, dammit!! (She'd also probably help you do the requisite physical therapy to get used to your zombie body again.)

SAWYER: Sawyer feels two of the stages of grief most deeply: Sadness, and RAGE. SO MUCH RAGE. He'd oscillate between being a weeping fucking mess and threatening to murder anyone who came NEAR the Player's body. Luckily, Sawyer would probably also figure out death isn't the end after at least two or so weeks of freaking out and mourning. Non-zero chance he would've gotten a very classy memorial tattoo during this time, and will be a little embarassed to show it to you when you DO come back to life.

JUNO: ..........There's a ghost Player, now, right? TELL ME YOU CAME BACK AS A GHOST, PLAYER!!!! Juno would frantically try to ensure that the Player really DID get stuck between worlds. If they're fully a spectre, Juno would be THRILLED, and be so happy and excited to welcome the Player to their new incorporeal life! It's hard, but, uh, you can get accustomed to having to focus to keep your clothes on, right?

HEX: Possibly the only one who DOESN'T realize on his own that he could reanimate the Player (besides Tate, who goes hog wild insane on learning the news, so he doesn't count). Which means he'd spend A MASSIVE AMOUNT OF TIME being ABJECTLY, HEART-BREAKINGLY MISERABLE. He wouldn't stop crying for fucking weeks, throw himself on your casket, dress like a Victorian widow, and sob while he makes little wreaths for you during class until Xerxes gets annoyed and tells him to just FUCKING ASK STEINFURTER TO SEW THE BODY BACK TOGETHER, MR. JONES-MACDUFF. YOU'RE A DISTRACTION TO THE REST OF THE CLASS

Hi :3 I’m kinda having a bad night rn but I’m distracting myself by playing slasher u (for like the 10th time lmao) and I was wondering: how do u think the dateables would react/what would they do if their partner was having a really bad day? <3333 Of course! I wrote a decent amount of Slasher U when I was having a hard time myself irl, Hex's "how's your day" dialogue is actually something I put in to cheer myself up when I was writing it (:

Tate: Tate's had SO MANY bad days he might be an expert at helping you with YOURS. It's immediately hugs, blanket city, asking you about it and letting you vent if you want, listening, and if you don't feel like talking, he's there to tell you about HIS day or some cool thing you both discovered, like a movie you wanna watch. Tate is a BIIIIG cuddler. He's already passing you the flask and shutting the doors to the A/V lab so you guys don't get interrupted by randos (because Tate figures you could use a good cry, and he knows HE wouldn't want people around for that - besides you!) Tate's Bad Day empathy is off the CHARTS. He would hold you tight til either the sun came up or you felt better, whichever takes longer. He would also fight anyone who came to see you who you didn't wanna see, even though he KNOWS he'd get his ass kicked. Worth it, to save you.

Hex: OH NO! MY BABE IS HAVING A BAD DAY! :(((( Hex goes into SUPERHERO mode - he might be a little bit TOO enthuasiastic about cheering you up, at first, but his sole purpose in life is now making you feel better. Hex would try really, really hard and really really deeply to understand you and your pain as best as he can, like, REALLY leave no stone unturned. His love language is "understanding people". Hex's go-to cheer-ups are: Picking you up like a prince/ess, buying you food and coffee, hugging/cuddling you on the couch while you watch TV, showing you memes he found, never leaving your side, and doing acts of service like giving you a back rub or getting you your fave ice cream from the campus convenience store. He'd fall asleep on you/near you/with you all day/night just so you wouldn't have to be alone. :) He'd also sneak into any class big enough not to notice him, just so he could keep keeping you company!

Laila: Laila is the one person (besides maybe Sawyer) who would ACTIVELY try to fix your problems, haha. My darling Player is having a bad day?? Who did this? Sit down, have some tea, I've already come up with a ten-step plan to fix your problems AND I'm gonna start as soon as you feel comfortable enough for me to make some phone calls while I cuddle you til you feel better! Laila's got major "S/HE/THEY ASKED FOR NO PICKLES >:((((" energy so she'd be a great mix of actually comforting and vulnerable, especially if you had a hard emotional time, and handling whatever it is that made you upset - she knows more responsibility at a time like this can be crushing, and she's your Final Girl, dammit! Don't worry about a THING, Player - Laila's on the case!

Juno: Juno knows any world that hurts the Player they like/love is the WORST and SUCKS and Player is the BEST and FUCK ANYONE WHO THINKS OTHERWISE!! Though Juno's go-to cheering up is definitely partying and shenanigans, they'd actually ask the player what they'd like. Their favorite way to cheer people up is distracting them from their troubles, so Juno would probably plan all KINDS of fun date-style activities from parties to walks to pranks to adventures, for however as many days it takes for you to smile again. If you're a partier, they'd drop molly with you and talk for hours and hours about feelings. They would ALSO harbor a deep grudge against whoever/whatever did this to you (even if it's an inanimate object/concept, like, failing a class).

Sawyer: Sawyer would feel your pain/sadness VERY VERY DEEPLY. He'd probably start by spending hours listening to you or holding you, then ask if you wanted him to actively try and fix the problem. He'd spend a HUGE amount of time with you comforting you, basically kicking his aftercare into overdrive - Sawyer's the kind of guy who would cancel work or class to comfort you. (And if it got to the point where he'd be fired, well, looks like he's asking his boss/professors to work from home so he can be with you). He's also the kind of guy who definitely orders food and booze and weed and VHS tapes right to the dorms so you wouldn't have to go anywhere. He'd get REALLY protective - he's not letting anyone hurt you ever again, though. EVER - though he's not restrictive about it. The second anyone calls you a name behind your back, though, BAM. Sawyer's knife, their face, etc :V Sawyer's respectful of your boundaries more than anything, so he'd want to show you how much he loves you WITHOUT you ever feeling stifled or uncomfortable.

TATE: Choking because the Player has TOTALLY unlocked a kink he didn't realize he had. Absolute "omg stop it /blush blush/ noooo seriously /blush blush blush/" zone. Would absolutely try to find ways to shyly ask/engineer the situation so it'd happen again. He'd prooooobably wait for the Player to give HIM some retribution for coming in his pants so soon!

Sawyer: You KNOW he's into this. This is all Sawyer wants. He wants to apply so many hickeys to his boo that people are like "jfc Player what did you DO last night did someone STRANGLE you" and the Player's like "yea :)". Sawyer would ALSO be very down with the Player just suckin on him like Renfield 24/7

Tate: Tate would llllloooooove getting a hickey. He'd even made some token cute/adorable/horny moans/noises while you did it, cuz he's like that! He probably wouldn't give you one unless you explicitly told him it was okay, cuz he'd be afraid/self-conscious that you wouldn't want one/would be embarrassed to have one from him (and if you DO let him, he'd be SO happy/feel SO special. :D )
