Heyo good morning Student Disembody I have just received news of What The Hell is Going On At Itchio re: itchio suddenly and without notice completely collapsing their entire adult games market!

So far here's what I have figured out:

Slasher U is still UP on itchio, BUT you can no longer search for it, it's no longer showing up on Tagged or Popular lists, and the only way to access it is via direct link

Itchio actually didn't fuckin tell me about this for some reason, so I got to find out via social media, which is always super fun and professional

You can still purchase and play the game & NSFW zines right now, and copies you already own are forever yours

Adam and I are keeping an eye on the situation and will keep y'all updated as we learn more

SU isn't the only game affected by this (it seems like it's a huge swathe of itchio, including queer and furry content that isn't NSFW), so there's already a number of movements to counter their actions!

In short, this sweep happened because an Australian TERF conservative censorship group coordinated (in their words) "1,000 calls to Mastercard/Visa" and itchio had an outsize reaction and destroyed a huge portion of their userbase. (Brief link included!)

If you'd like to help out, you can: Call Visa or Mastercard, or sign this ACLU petition as they gear up for a court case against them!

In the meantime, since, er, Slasher U is how I pay my rent (*tugs collar* I'm in danger ha ha oh god), and you can no longer FIND it organically on itch, if you wanna reblog, share, support, or just post Slasher U somewhere on the internet where people can see it, know that from the bottom of my heart I'm thanking you SO FUCKING PROFUSELY for keeping this campus alive.

Known for their comic book series Slasher U. Has committed another foul mistake, after supporting several posts by Matt Walsh. This is not an easily made mistake, because if you’re on instagram you must know who most people accuse of doing 9/11 (The Jews). This was in the middle of a bunch of reels about anti-Zionism. 🧃= Jews

Ramses Recommends Special Expiring Kickstarter Edition: Slasher U

So, this is definitely going to be different from a usual RR, in that I'm recommending a kickstarter campaign with only 10 days to spare.

Slasher U started as a few OCs of artist Janie Lee ( @junkmixart ), who you might know for her "counselor Jason" comic.

I eagerly encourage any and all Spooky Month and Hatchetfield (especially NPMD) fans who finds this to back the project. We're on the cusp of the second to last stretch goal (61.4k of 62k), with a final stretch goal at 75k.

With an immediate sense of intrigue and healthy variety to both the slashers and corral of victims, there's definitely some element of this my average follower will love!
