.slashtember days 3 + 4: leokumi

leokumi was one of my first slash ships, so they hold a special place in my heart and holy cow they're adorable. i remember when i saw the fanmade s-supports for the first time i let out this happy little squeak because it just filled up the leokumi-shaped hole in my heart perfectly. their interactions are just really touching even if they initially clashed and good thing is since revelations is the true ending it's easy to take the "leo and takumi end up married and live happily ever after" route... just. gah. these two really have a chokehold on my heart

slashtember days 1 + 2: wazubela

these two are one of the sweetest couples ever, honestly. even in the small scenes they got in the manga they so clearly care for one another and know one another inside out, i immediately fell in love with the idea of them as a couple when i got to the sixth layer arc. there's just so much to talk about with wazubela even in the small amount of time we got with them and i just want them to be happy! this is just such a good ship that i really love a lot (if i can forge the pain and suffering that was the sixth layer arc)

slashtember days 13 + 14: jekyde

panicked about uploading these but then went "screw it". i blame @ollieoxen-free for getting me to ship it unironically - it's capable of being really dark and twisted, which i'm usually not super interested in with my ships but i really like it here! specifically, i like the characterization of a naive sweet jekyll determined to change hyde for the better and things end. badly. either way, yes it's selfcest but also yes it's really interesting

another standout from my usually sweet, fluffy ships! these two are just total vaguely-human shaped piles of garbage and watching mephistopheles toy with faust is extremely entertaining. they are a poetic little trainwreck and i am so invested in them, but i will never forgive goethe for part 2 of what was a really really good play up till that point.

slashtember days 15 + 16: perrand

perrand is just so cute, especially in the early books! i love rand’s sort of awkward, curious personality that’s a little geeky paired with perrin's gentleness and strength so much. they’re not super popular but they are plain adorable, although angsty later books perrand is great too.

slashtember days 11 + 12: smoughstein

my version of smoughstein is definitely one of the more sweet, fluffy versions - there's some really great darker smoughstein stuff, but i prefer the more sweet, cute content myself, it's all just a matter of personal preference after all! i like the idea of ornstein opening up to smough slowly over time, they are just incredibly charming and all about second chances in love. almost everything to do with these two is super heartwarming.

slashtember days 7 + 8: hamratio

hamratio was one of my first big classic lit ships and i don’t really talk about them particularly often but they have a special place in my heart. it's definitely a more bittersweet ship and there’s a lot of good angst of them that makes me cry, but at the same time seeing how supportive and friendly they are with one another is very touching.

the sweetest couple in all of arthurian lit! just… ugh everything about them is so comfortable and warm, for lack of better word. i’ve loved them for a long time and the sense of understanding and sweetness between them just makes my heart melt, as angsty as the grail quest may be. i love how well percival’s energetic, chivalrous personality meshes with galahad’s softer, gentler personality, they mean the world to me
