Obi was right. He smiles, thinking of his mentor, of the pride in the man's eyes as he killed him. More pride than his father ever showed him.
Tony sits on his throne, looking out over his empire through the floor to ceiling windows. He reaches out his hand. "Come," he beckons.
His pet rises from where he was seated, the beads and gems of his outfit chiming pleasantly as he walks over.
Steve sits by Tony's feet, resting his head against Tony's leg. His eyes, a lifeless yellow glow.

An alternate Universe where Obadiah decided to nurture his "Golden Goose" rather then kill him off.
Obadiah killed the Starks and raised Tony as his own. When powerful enough, Tony turned against Obadiah and killed him.
SHIELD had found the Tesseract. When Loki came through to conquer Earth, Tony (super powerful) managed to stop him (killing Loki), gaining possession of the Mind Stone.
Tony finds Steve while taking down Loki. Maybe in some other universe, where he was kinder and lighter, he could have made the man love him. But he knew the man wouldn't love him as he was. So he took him, using the Mind Stone to make Steve love him.
