Um. So. I'm learning Ukrainian right now. I'm wanting to see more Ukrainian representation out there because idk I guess Ukraine is my special interest now,,, So uh, get ready for Ukrainian yaoi mini comics. LMFAO. I just had a very Slavic man make a reservation at the motel I work at, and I wasn't sure how to spell his name. Now, we get a lot of tourists from other countries, most of them Spanish speakers, and I know the names of the letters in Spanish (h is hache, j is jota, y is i-griegas), but this guy's name was Russian or Polish or something, so I expected this guy to start spelling it in Cyrillic, which I don't know. He could barely understand me, I could barely understand him, but when I asked him to spell his name he started rattling off the NATO alphabet without missing a beat, "Kilo October Whiskey Alpha Lima Charlie Zulu Yankee Kilo."

I mean, yeah, sure, I guess that's easier than the Latin alphabet, none of the letters rhyme, it was designed explicitly for spelling words over the radio like this, I just wasn't expecting it. Whatever works for you, Comrade.
